I'm all for a covid passport, I don't get that it is an erosion of our civil liberties either.

The only problem I see with covid vaccination passports/certificates to allow access to certain events and services, is that until everyone has had the opportunity to get the vaccine, it could be seen as age discrimination.

There's plenty of other ways we discrimate by age ... I get a free bus pass 'cos I'm over retirement age. My neighbour's son can't drive a car 'cos he's not 17 yet.  I get into museums and galleries cheaper than my partner 'cos I'm older than him.

I don't personally have a problem with the idea, I just said that it could be seen that way! And it's not the same as giving older people something for free that others can access if they pay. Younger people who haven't yet had the opportunity to be vaccinated could be, understandably, miffed if they can't go to events. However it might just serve to encourage those who are being influenced by the antivax nutters.

I may be wrong but I don't imagine that teens, twenties, will want to see or go to the same places as me and Dove (see you in Glastonbury then eh Dove)

These events will not exist as younger people remember them until the majority are vaccinated. Without anti vaxers, passports would eventually unnecessary. Passports will keep antivaxers out of places where people congregate. They can stay at home, nurse their principles and read fake news.

Absolutely, I’d have given anything to have seen Neil Diamond and Joan Bayez.
