OH tried to book online yesterday but didn't get offered anywhere locally (Leeds or Wakefield I think were what he was offered). We know there are two vaccination centres that would be convenient and at least another 4 that are closer than the ones that were offered, plus one that might be further as the crow flies but is a quicker drive, so he's going to try again.

@JennyJ I wouldn’t bother with that online booking, your doctor will call you very soon if you’re in the age bracket, you could be sent anywhere with the online bookings. Even on the TV news they said ignore the letter.

I booked online. Got done 2 weeks earlier and at a centre 10 mins from home. You don't have to accept what's offered so it's worth checking if you want to get done as quickly as possible.
Thanks everyone! He's going to keep trying the website and if the GP phones before it offers somewhere local, so much the better. I'll do the same when it's my turn. No mad rush as we're both still able to work from home.

JennyJ, here it depends on your surgery, where you go for the jab. Thankfully, my son got his OK, normally does 90 minutes yoga each morning, texted to say he felt like ****, headache and aching all over no yoga, told him to rest up till he feels better.
