Hello everyone My OH and I had the AZ one yesterday morning. We felt fine until about 3pm then started aching and felt really tired. I had the chills and then feeling very hot, no temperature though, felt quite lousy to tell the truth. By late evening felt a lot better and got up this morning, felt tired but otherwise just fine. I couldn't have the Pfizer one as I have a Penicillin allergy. That is what I was told by my Doctors surgery. Lets hope there is now light at the end of this very dark tunnel. Stay safe everyone.
For about a day I felt sufficiently under the weather not to want to do anything but there again not ill enough to feel I should be doing something. I compromised by slouching round and complaining.
Hope you recover soon @AuntyRach, sounds quite a nasty reaction. I've just read that nine areas will vaccinate all over 50's by 8th March, a month earlier than planned, let's hope it's true.
I am 56 and had my first AZ jab today, as I am the main carer for my elderly Mum. Happy to have it, though I would've freely given it to any teacher around. Any side effects have been countered by a couple of strong negronis... probs wake up with a hangover tomorrow... lol. X
60 yr old toyboy. getting 1st jab on Wed. he had a heart attack 20 years ago, so is classed as vulnerable. Not heard about mine yet, 64 healthy group 7. All those in the family, 89, 87, 80, 74, 70, 66, 65, mostly had pfizer, no reactions. We have been pretty rigorous about all those over 70 not going out, under 65's doing the shopping only and not going out.
Not sure about Texas. My friend flew to Houston mid December to see her new grandaughter who was born last May for the first time. She should have come back last Wednesday, but airport closed. They had no electric and no water so decamped to inlaws who had leccy and a BBQ. She is trying again for a flight on Wednesday next week, provided she can get a covid test first.
According to statistics from Public Health England, which publishes a
map showing the rolling infection rate in the country, the virus has
nearly disappeared in part of the Peak District.
It says the area of Bakewell North, Baslow and Calver "suppressed" the virus in the seven days leading up to Monday, February 15.
This means the area had fewer than three confirmed Covid cases in the
week beforehand, the only place in Derbyshire where this was the case.
I'm still staying in.
My joy for today was the deer had a nosy at the mouse hole. I got it on the trail cam.

Little things make me happy.
