Certainly on the American ship initially it was more staff than passengers who were positive.

In terms of droplets they seem to be saying whereas with a cold or flu if someone coughs or sneezes at one end of a train carriage, plane etc then the whole is at risk, the droplet size for this is larger, anyone 2 meters or more away will not be infected so long as they don't move in and touch the drops while they are still viable.

Just read that Spain has decided to lock down - oops, our NDNs flew out there last week.

We've decided to cancel all our booked weekends away, all in the UK, until the end of July at least. Fortunately I used one of the booking sites so can cancel all but one with no penalty. Looks like OH's trip to Holland for a car rally in late June will be off as well.

We are starting a local Covid support network on the ground tomorrow, esp focused on supporting vulnerable neighbours. I've done local community planning for the last ten years in my neighbourhood and it's hard when you have so many people kicking off on social media. Things can get so abusive so quickly when people pile in, especially when they are scared. The gradual fabric you weave seems to get shot up in a few hours and factions form. Hard to keep things practical and not hysterical, supportive and not blame-blased, especially with so many unknown unknowns

It had been said in our news that the crew ships recirculated air posed a greater risk.

I think 2020 will be the year of gardening. If we can’t travel or visit people, our gardens will be our retreat. Suits me.

My garden and I live in South Wales.

"On board ship who feeds you and tends to your needs, the crew . No one said they were sending in food , so those preparing the food could have infected the rest. Also never saw the rails, walls or door handles being disinfected after every group had there "out" time. "

Think of the poor crews who have no choice in the matter and have to cook and feed and tend to rude and panicking customers, all locked up together.

Think of me delivering to our lovely customers and telling every one of them that we've no toilet rolls.

@Hostafan1, out of interest, is Waitrose having any problem with regular loo roll supply? My local supermarkets say deliveries are coming in daily and there is a normal amount, it's just that people are panic buying. But the wholesalers are not running low.
