I wear a mask because I'm told to, whether or not its fulfilling it's expected function I have no idea. The minute I'm told that I don't need to wear it they will all be in the bin. It's horrible not seeing peoples smiles and I hate the feeling that I can't get enough oxygen. I abide by the rules but I don't have to like it.
Yesterday afternoon I had a hospital appointment (fairly routine, surprised they didn't cancel it TBH) and decided to walk as it was a nice fine day. On my way I passed two primary schools and two secondaries, and was very surprised to see several groups of young-ish adults (presumably parents) congregating and chatting without masks or distancing outside the primaries, and groups of teenagers in uniform hanging around in the streets near the secondaries (again no distancing and no masks in evidence). Had to walk past lots of folks hanging around on the pavement outside the hospital smoking and chatting (presumably patients or non-uniform-wearing staff, I thought visitors weren't allowed at the moment). Maybe none of those things is against the letter of the rules, but surely they're against the spirit. What on earth are people thinking? (or maybe they're not thinking at all).

I only got 4 correct answers, seems I’m being over cautious, so I’m off out in the car, see where I end up and do some exercising. Might meet some friends on the way and stop for a chat.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
@Ben Cotto - it's quite simple. If you touch a mask whose surface has active virus upon it and then rub your eye or lick your fingers you are transferring virus to your mucus system and that's how you get infected.
@hansen_stan I hope you recover well but have to say that's a very strange first post to make on a gardening forum, even on a chat thread.
I am part of a group of native English speakers who help organise a British cooking day at a school with a catering section for secondary and further education trainee chefs, sommeliers, maitre d's who have to be able to do it all in English if they're to go on to international careers. I am the only competent cook left in the group and have to spend a day teaching the chosen dishes to the other brits as well as spend a day in the kitchens with a bunch of teenagers.
I have said I will do it this year providing I've had the vaccine at least 3 weeks beforehand. The coordinator thinks I'm being difficult. I think I'm being sensible.

I managed to scrape a 4. Answered 'No' to is it illegal to go within 2m of someone in a shop, which was incorrect although the answer states "There is no actual law ordering people to keep two metres apart."
To be honest I intend to carry on as I have been since lockdown 1 - mask, face, space, and limiting social contact to a minimum (not a big deal for me). The rules and the constant debate about what's a 'rule' and what's merely 'guidance' are doing my head in.
"What is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbour".
I'm ''Run of the Treadmill" Considering how much news is on our TV (Hubby is addicted to it) It just goes to show how the message just isn't getting through, I should have known all of them.

What on earth is the bloody point of "It depends", like Pansy says.
