@Busy-Lizzie We'll find out all on Tuesday evening when Manu makes his appearance. It is rumoured that large shops will be opened with restrictions. Stay safe.
There's a Hindu God called Manu Maybe we're talking about mammon. Who's feast day is black Friday. Worshipped by a tribe known as the gullible. They sacrifice their credit to the great God mammon to gain stuff they never knew they needed until they saw the light at the end of the tunnel of debt.
I've just written a stiff email to the woman running the choir we'd been singing with, before lockdown. She's decided to re-start rehearsals next week, even though we're still in lockdown, choral singing is not permitted except in the open air, and quite a few choir members are elderly. She's also refusing to wear a mask. My email has gone to all members of the choir and I haven't pulled my punches... needless to say, hubby and I won't be there.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Most states are easing restrictions for Thanksgiving holiday (this Thursday).. so you can watch us to see what might happen with a UK easement for Christmas. Our major hospitals in Utah have stopped elective surgeries due to the Covid bed occupied, and our ICU is at 91% capacity. Yet the gov'nr announced he was ending the 'only socialize with people in your household' mandate tomorrow. Thanksgiving celebrations will bring Christmas funerals.
