There doesn't seem to be much change from the predicted 1% death rate in infected people either. That leaves about half a million people in the UK at risk of death from this virus in the given worst case scenario by my calculations. Not to mention the knock on effect to the already stretched NHS.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
Well it is a stupid idea. I imagine most people retired from the NHS either left for health reasons which would put them in the vulnerable group or left because the conditions they were working in were untenable, and it's likely to be a lot worse than 'normal' if they are being called in.

I have already been asked to return in a role helping to allocate critical care beds, when the inevitable shortage occurs. If it were not for my own illness, I would gladly return. I would not do so to my old hospital, too many unhappy memories.

Nowhere does this document state that there is no increased risk to individuals. try telling the families of the 3000 people who have died so far, that there is no increased risk. Clearly you do not have any idea what you are talking about and my concern is that other people may be influenced by what you say.
