If your mask is impermeable, you will not be able to breath through it and will die. I can assure you that you never get used to wearing a mask all day, it is thoroughly unpleasant and I required regular breaks.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Just came across this on Etsy. I've been thinking about inventing the very same thing after seeing pictures of nurses doing the testing with one of those over the head bag face shield things. Never though about adding a baseball cap to give room around the face! Might try making one for my six year old. I'm thinking that plastic might be the stuff some restaurants and grandmothers use to cover their tablecloth/tables.
@punkdoc is absolutely right wearing a mask is extremely unpleasant and as almost everyone, including myself, is wearing them incorrectly, completely useless! They also encourage people to come closer than they otherwise would and fiddle constantly with their faces. They are anti social too and make it very difficult to hear properly. But of course they are “essential” to save lives!
As I’ve said above, my OH wears a mask all day when in the shop. He says he has no problem with it ... he thought he would find it difficult as he hates things touching his face but he says he’s fine with it.
He also finds that it seems to remind customers that there is a ‘situation’ and to follow the instructions and keep their distance.
He said that one or two customers have appeared slightly angry that they are being reminded of the situation by seeing the masks, when what they are hoping for when visiting the shop is ‘normality’ ... but apart from that there has been no problem at all.

@Blue Onion - those full hoods that medical staff wear are attached to a respirator at the back so we can breathe. I can’t imagine that wearing the hood pictured would be practical as the air needs to get in and out or you will be in trouble! It would be a bag of hot breath in minutes!
I think everyone copes differently with masks I am claustrophobic and won’t even wear sunglasses usually, can’t wear a necklace without fiddling constantly and hadn’t realised how deaf I am now I can’t rely on lip reading. Sitting on bus now 2 passengers wearing masks under nose and one young girl had taken hers off to adjust it twice in 5 minutes. Completely useless!
Yes people do want normality we are all sick of this horrible situation and the effects of the government handling of the virus are terrifying so being constantly reminded of it is upsetting.
We’re all sick of this horrible situation ... you are, I am, my OH is ... but getting upset doesn’t change anything so we’ve just got to cope with it. Trying to do it with a positive attitude really helps ... google some CBT techniques, get a hearing aid ... there are things we can do to make it more bearable. 😊

@AuntyRach. I didn't consider the pump thing. Haha.. maybe a filter stuck on one of those pumps they use for the inflatable costumes? I expect your right.. I struggle with putting my head under a thin sheet in the morning to avoid the glare of the sun.
Dove, you always have the sunniest disposition (whether learned or natural). 🌞 I always try to ask myself if getting upset about it will change anything.. and usually not. I'm glad to hear your husband gets on well with his masks.
You area absolutely right Dove, I got berated by a friend of many years. She was moaning about the masks, couldnt breath (she has no issues on that score) glasses steaming up, wasn't going out ever again after being "forced" to wear them. She posted on another site (loathes gardeing so I am safe here haha) gave her tips, wearing them a home, yes, even trying SBT or NLP, she was fuming, said she didn't need a lecture on how to wear a mask or what type to buy thank you very much. I never "told" her what to buy, I said one size and type doen's fit all.OK OK, so I was nursing 40 odd years (yes, some of them were very odd indeed!!!)I started wearing them at the beginning while shopping, and gloves. The DIY PPF 2 ones we had for DIY. Same friend now complaining we should have been told to wear masks 4 months ago.Oldest daughter going through the menoporse, just split with her fella, having anxiety attacks, panic attacks, chatting yesterday, trying to talk her down, I do know all about hot flushes and PPE
