I said this before @punkdoc - surely if the necessary procedures are followed, there's no greater danger for them going in than the staff? The mental health benefits must outweigh it? Perhaps I'm too optimistic. I'm so sorry.

Morning all. Hugs to @punkdoc. I have a dilemma: I've a cheque to go into Hubby's bank, he's got no income, but the nearest bank is 10 miles away! Am I allowed to drive to the bank?
Beautiful sunny morning here, it's amazing how it changes the mood. Still a bit chilly but due to warm up this afternoon.
I love daffodils, I have so many different colours, and they are such a cheerful welcoming sight, spring is finally here. Thanks for all the encouraging words from you all yesterday, definitely feels a bit like being on a rollercoaster. I read an interesting piece in a journal this morning about accepting not fighting the situation. All made perfect sense, now just to apply the principle.
Sending virtual hugs to you all - and some pretty pictures of my spring flowers.

Yes - I would. If you have no other option. You can always do that hole in the wall thing, although I don't trust them. Could the person not have done a bank transfer though?
Lovely pix @Dordogne Damsel - your daffs are much further on than mine, although travelling through Dumbarton last Sunday to visit the cemetery, the banks were covered as they always are at this time of year. It really lifted my spirits. Not all just the bog standard ones either, there's a huge swathe of creamy ones which are stunning.

@Hostafan1 the farm shop we went to yesterday was about that distance away. We chose to go there as it seemed safer to order by phone/email, pay over the phone and go and pick it up. We rang them when we got there and they carried it out and put it in our boot. Better social distancing than the supermarket, so we reasoned it was ok.
On the other hand you could put the cheque in the post to the bank along with a paying in slip ... but I don’t know how long it’ll take to get to his account.

@Fairygirl, it's come from British Gas and it's taken almost 6 months to get the cheque , bless'em.
Not speedy are they? It would be different if you took 6 months though, eh?
On a similar theme: I've had a £900 refund on my credit card, but the card company won't give me the money to put in the bank, and they , strangely , won't pay me the same interest as I'd be charged if I owed them £900.
We've had the same thing happen @Hostafan1 ... refund for our holiday ... same for you I guess. Just as well we're buying a few things online at the moment
