Hello, we have friends staying, been out a lot today then busy cooking and eating, chicken and leek pie and Tiramisu. Wine was drunk!
@sam bevington we aren't in Dordogne at the moment but in OH's cottage in Norfolk.

Went to a garden centre today, bought 3 foxgloves for a shadyish place. Also went to an antiques and furniture emporium, had fun looking around. I didn't buy anything but my friend did. We had already bought 2 chairs and a sideboard there for this cottage last year.

I saw @Hostafan1 made a helpful suggestion. I hope he finds someone to rent his cottage. I have a viewing for my French house soon, not holding my breath.

  • How lovely, i used to live in a village in Norfolk, Lyng near RAF Swanton Moreley. My Dad bought our first house there and created a lovely garden, i remember the colourful hanging fuschias on the garden wall, i was about 7 and that started my love of waiting to see a garden bursting into life!

We are further south than that, Diss area. Lovely soil, not heavy and limestony like in France. I've been re-doing the garden. My mother's family are from Suffolk and Norfolk, love it here.

Good morning everyone. Cool autumn morning here but no rain as usual. Care to swap for a few days?

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Afraid we have nothing to swap at the moment @Pat E ... nothing but blue sky and sunshine and a big full moon hanging low in the west.
