@Lizzie27 That’s the one! 👍 I suppose it may have been longer ago than i thought. I’ll get the laptop out tomorrow and check holiday records ...
I’m in bed now and rain is pattering on the west facing windows ... again 🙄
Night night all ... sweet dreams 🛌 🐑 🐑 🐑
@Lizzie27 it was May 2011 goodness me how time flies when you're having fun OH says he remembers the bistro felt just like being in the 1970s (which is n't a criticism ... he liked it ... but how he knows what French bistros were like back then I'm not sure given that he was born in 1970 )
We stayed just outside Bath at this B&B http://www.honeysuckle-cottage.org.uk/ one of the best B&Bs we've ever stayed in and a superb breakfast ... everything a breakfast should be without being overloaded like at a truck stop ... and superbly cooked.
The bathroom's had a scrub and a bit of a descale this morning
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
No cleaning here today. It is grey and wet and drismal again tho supposed to be cloudy with sunny spells. Admin for me then - lots of planning and organising for patch club and then this pm I'm off with a couple of mosaic ladies to fetch a stash of mosaic tiles from an old chap who's moving to sheltered accommodation.
OH and all 4 critters and everyone we meet is fed up with the weather but I don't let them complain about the rain cos in a couple of months they'll no doubt be moaning about heatwaves and drought.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Hi folks, @WonkyWomble I've given up trying to grow delphiniums and lupins in the garden. I'm growing them in large black pots which I hide amongst the summer planting, so far so good. Wouldn't it be funny @Busy-Lizzie if @sam bevington did buy your house, it would be nice to see your garden in the future. A man with a van is coming to collect a huge pile of garden waste at around 12.00, the garden is now relatively tidy except for the new top bed which is going to take a while to sort out. Thinking of going to Ashwoods to get some FBB could be dangerous though.
Just had a flying visit from a couple of builders, patching holes in the walls left by the electrician and plumber. They were only here for half an hour, yet the whole house is once again full of little bits of plaster... ah well, sweeping up keeps me out of mischief...
My rescued winter-flowering heathers are looking stunning, and the daffs I planted rather late in pots after we moved here, are just beginning to open. It's lovely to have some colour, promise of things to come.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
If I ever wish for a bigger garden will someone on here remind me how much I ache in March.
I know what you mean if it ever dries out this year I am going to have to blitz the Allotment to catch up , give that the trouble with my wrist & forearm has only subsided, & not gone completely I am planning for a period of pain.
Just catching up. That B & B cottage looks rather nice Dove, we go that way quite often. It's drizzly and quite windy here, just been for a short walk with daughter - not well enough to tackle a steep hill. I think I'm self-isolating, can't seem to shake off this cold but as I haven't a fever, am pretty sure I don't have the virus. Pity, as our Garden Club has a very good talk on garden design booked for Thursday which I was looking forward to.
@Yviestevie - I always mean to take things easy, but then stuck in and ache for days!
@Dovefromabove Haven't been on GW for a few days and just read back on RES. So sorry to read that Lillypilly is so poorly. Such a lovely lady. Would you please send my very best wishes and lots of love. Thank you

I've just had a mercy dash to Waitrose as loo rolls are (briefly ? ) in stock.
