Good morning all. Fiancés father passed away last night, he had been in hospital for an operation but his other health problems meant he didn’t recover. It was a risk we all knew but his decision. I am fine but it has hit my fiancé very hard. His mom isn’t coping so we have a busy few days, there are lots of rifts and feuds in the family which makes it all the more difficult.

Good morning LB, Rubee and Debs.  Debs I’m so sorry to hear your very sad news.  No one is ever really prepared for such news.  Sending my condolences.

Debs, I am so very sorry to hear that news this morning. Your fiancé will need a great deal of support through a difficult time, especially with the mentioned family rifts. I hope that everything settles and maybe this sad event can bring the family together and build some bridges.

Morning - a day of rain forecast here so will probably do a SM run and then get on with hemming some curtains. Good excuse to light the fire and have some trashy TV on in the background.

Debs - so sorry to hear about your fiance’s father. I hope the family are able to come together for mutual comfort and to support his mother.

My own FIL is still very up and down. Bad day on Wednesday, good day yesterday. I think we’ll all be relieved when some of the tubes come out and he moves to a normal ward.

Bad luck with the exam Chey. You learn from your mistakes. When will you do the re-sit?

Topbird it’s good your fil had a good day yesterday after the ups and downs and that hopefully the drain is removed.  He’ll be fed up of the whole thing, poor guy.

Good luck with the freezer Hazel! We had one which was really very noisy - thought it wouldn't bother me too much but once my ears were tuned.... I was glad to see it go on to a new home when we had the kitchen done with (very quiet) integrated appliances.

23 sounds like a gorgeous bundle of playful fun. Love kiddies at that age.

Afties all. I hope that the new freezer is quiet for you Hazel. I didn't go to Canasta today Chive. The lady I give a lift to was going to a funeral and I'm still coughing so I decided I would pass today. I would like to be fitter for the quiz next week. I had a big power cut here this morning. Once I could get to the website, the information said that 1946 houses in the village had been affected. The electricity came back on again after half an hour, heralded by many house alarms around me going off. Its always a worry about the safety of my fish when there is a power cut but luckily they don't occur too often. The website said it was due to bad weather.
