Chive I’m glad that mums okay.  I’m hoping to stay in bed tonight.  LB your jury duty sounds involved and interesting but a difficult thing to do.  Topbird hope you travel well tomorrow.  Goodnight LB and all to follow.

A very good morning to one and all. I believe some of you may have a wintry start to your day. Raging gales here so no snow as yet.

Morning Chive. Are you looking forward to next week? Half term seems to have come round very quickly.

Good morning LB and Chive . Golly the wind here is raging too . My friend is coming to lunch today . She doesn’t live far away from us ,but I don’t want her feel stressed when driving .Think I will give her a ring and see what she wants to do .

Chive, the Spring half term has always been the week the family go away together for a walking week. I decided last year that if they chose the same venue again I would not go because there is not enough comfortable seating for a party our size to all be together and the dining room chairs (metal and wood) are like torture to sit on for any length of time. To cut a long story short, they are all going off next Sunday until Friday to Eskdale and I'm not. I will miss the get together but we are talking of finding somewhere else to go next February and I have been helping my nephew by sourcing large enough properties to take the gang - I have found 4 potentials and sent him the details.
p.s. my weekends and evenings were always busy with all the paperwork associated with the job.

Clear blue skies and cold here today lots of birds on the feeders. Just ordered some more stacking recycling bins as mine fill up too quickly and are only collected on alternate weeks. We watched Joker last night, very bleak but thought provoking and interesting. Would recommend it but not to everyone’s taste. I didn’t see it in cinema as I felt it would be too upsetting and I think I was right.
Hope you can sort out your family trip LB how many of you go?
Chive I expect you are glad to see the back of the gloomiest half term of the year! Spring is on the way!

Morning Debs. It ranges from 24 to 29. Now that some of the great nieces and nephews go on school trips at this time there could be a drop in numbers. Originally when we first started going on these holidays it was just we big people and partners. Nieces and nephews started arriving and we assumed that they wouldn't want to come with we 'old people' and would go off doing their own thing. The oldest nibling came to his Mum (one of my sisters) and said, "You don't think you are going without us do you?" In a nutshell that is how it all started, they then grew up and got married and their babies started arriving and our holiday group grew exponentially which is why we have had to find bigger and bigger cottages to go to. We can't get rid of the perishers! Only joking as we love them to bits amd I suppose its good that they have never seen us as boring and love coming away with us.

wow that’s a lot to cater for in one building no wonder you struggle. We went to a gorgeous house in Cheltenham last year but there were only 14 of us. It’s lovely that you all get on so well I imagine a lot of families would struggle in close proximity with everyone for any length of time so let’s hope you find a nice place for next year!

Chive it is the best fun ever. We all get on well together. At one time we had 4 generations represented. We are down to 3 generations and I'm the matriarch now!
