New series of 'Belgravia' by Julian Fellowes tonight on ITV, hoping it will take my mind off things - if only for the frocks!

Went to inspect the new trees I planted in autumn whilst on the way to the PT to pick lemons for dinner and joy oh joy, the robinia, liriodendron and ginko have all got healthy buds about to pop.

RTBC is that there is nobody in either of our families over 70 .
Another is that the corvid ( sic ) thread has 80 new comments since I last looked in, so I'm glad I've decided against reading any more. It's becoming a hot bed of paranoia, fake news and conspiracy theories ( apart from @punkdoc ) so I'm keeping away.

I haven't looked at that one in days.  The BBC has been reporting very well and has all the latest info regularly updated on its website including how best to avoid infection and also who is most vulnerable so there's no excuse for panicking about anything except being bored if confined to barracks.

Many thanks for your birthday wishes, all those who posted them! Special thanks for that cake, @Obelixx Good thing it's only a virtual cake, my diabetic condition forbidding the real thing. ;)
Re the current pandemic situation, I'd say that us gardeners are lucky to be able to go out in our gardens even if we are ordered to stay at home. Much better situation than for those who are confined between 4 walls. :(

My three new blackcurrant plants just arrived, as did an email to say my day lilies will be delivered tomorrow.  And my feisty 96 year old mum, who was poorly yesterday, has just announced she feels well enough to get out of bed and sit in her dressing gown for a while.
