I put out some strands of knitting wool the other day @Hostafan1, in case our Mrs Blackbird can find a use for them ... I've yet to see her take an interest in them ... I'll have to see if they're still there when I pop out to pick yet more white sprouting broccoli ... it's an amazing crop this year  :)

In the past weeks I've found strands of glass wool here and there in the garden. I suppose some birds have found a supply of it in the attic and will use it for their nests?

Rasta doggy has a haircut booked on April 7th.   I was going to ask for her lovely woolly clippings for the birds but suspect I may be a bit late.

On the other hand, this is looking very bonny today - 2 weeks ahead of last year despite, or maybe because of, all the rain.

That's very pretty, @Obelixx .  I didn't realise tree paeonies could flower so early... any idea of the variety?

'Fraid not.  It's inherited.  Lovely perfume too.  Would you like me to save you some seed?

I stuck some of daughter's plentiful hair supply out in a little cage of chicken wire recently. Not sure if they've been interested in it though.
    Lovely pic @Obelixx

My RTBC is that the snowdrops are all properly open now. It's surprising how quickly they've multiplied in 6 years, from the two tiny handfuls my sister gave me.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Spring is a great time for flowers. The first flowers are so beautiful. It's a change of heart.

My RTBC is that we did go to Hilliers GC this morning and beside the Kneelo pad I wanted, they had just had a large delivery of nursery plants which were all at sale offers, so I ended up with a paeony at £5 and 2 heuchera 'Cherry Cola' at £3 each - bargains. Very tempted to go back tomorrow. Was told that the nursery was delivering early than planned in case they got staff off sick and/or deliveries delayed.
All I have to do is to find a place to plant them.

My RTBC is the prospect of a whole summer without endless sport on TV/radio/everywhere I look. A tiny glimmer of silver in the lowering clouds, from my point of view (though I realise many won't share it). If they'd cancel the Grand National rather than run it behind closed doors I'd be even happier.
