Is that really what is being done to our senior citizens when they have two cataracts?!?! Surely better eyesight would help prevent falls and the subsequent complications associated with that.
It's not just cataracts. I knew a man just a few years ago who had one hip replacement, but was told they wouldn't do the other until he stopped smoking. Where is the logic in that? He could still barely walk with just one done.
You're right, of course, @josusa47. We're on the lookout for another bookcase now we (nearly) have the space for one... however, there are a few paperbacks of no sentimental value which I won't re-read.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
This month’s Gardeners’ World magazine, p. 11, an advert for Hayter ” ... 50 years at the top of it’s game”. Who do they use as copywriters, the work experience boy?
I thought this page was poorly thought out too. Lovely garden and I'd been looking forward to the article about it but where is the rock mound that Diarmuid is raving about? Oh yes it's behind the photo and quote so we can't see it...
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

I can understand that one, because of the risks with anaesthetic and subsequent recovery in smokers. Smokers have delayed healing and are higher risk of chest infection.

But why was nothing said to him prior to the first operation? The guy had his hopes raised in the first place and then dashed.

They know "entrances" is plural, but think " exit's" is possessive.
