The Met Office have issued a red warning for rain in this area but they have two videos on their Youtube channel one showing the rain has passed by now and one with no presenter or commentary showing the red triangle and rain until lunch time. You'd think if there was a real risk to life they could at least have got a trainee out of bed to talk over the clip. Looks dry enough outside at the moment. Maybe said trainee was left in charge of updating the forcast and got carried away.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Sorry to hear you have damage @KT53 ... a builder in the family can have his uses šŸ˜‰ I hope the ā€˜repair’ holds. šŸ¤žĀ

The repair is holding up well thanks.Ā  Just a few drips coming in but we've covered the affected area of floor with towels.

@wild edges Apparently there were/are two red warnings for S. Wales ... one refers to the weather itself and one refers to the consequent floods which will follow the rain ... it was explained in depth (see what I did thereĀ  ;) )on R4 earlier.Ā Ā

Gardening in Central NorfolkĀ on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Heavy rain thrusting into Wales I see :#

Speaking of funny looking things my neighbour's tree is now firmly sat on their wall.

Was it deliberate, or a cock-up?

You aren't alone in being slow on the uptake with that one.
