I believe that the majority of folk growing more than one or two cannabis plants are going for the hydroponic method. Easier and more controllable.
Whether the majority are or not is debatable. I just know I have read hundreds of threads on scores of growing sites for people growing in soil still! Lots of small growers are for sure .
Please can we close this thread!! As a Canadian he obviously cannot understand our sarcasm and takes everything literally. May I respectfully suggest that he takes himself off to spend his time poking his holes and watering his plants whichever way he prefers.
I've just read this thread for the first time. Bizarre to say the least.
I think you need to target a forum in a more suitable area @stevekeays. It's illegal to grow cannabis in this country [UK] so if you're hoping for a load of potential buyers for your product, you're barking up the wrong tree, as the majority of forum users here are UK based. I'm not sure what kind of reaction you were expecting, but I can't see anyone thinking the product would be of use for normal, everyday watering.
You may also be reported to the mods if you continue in the same vein - I'm quite surprised you haven't been already.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

The only reason it might take up to 20 seconds to water a plant is because you have to wait for the device to drain the water into the soil. In this time at least your hands are free ,so you can do something else, like water another polant. If you have a few of these you can keep the process going without wasting any time. If these were being used with an automatic watering system then all plants could be wayered at the same time, in about 20 seconds !
Also I realize the fact that I let my soil dry out last grow, and it became hygrophobic, this may be the main reason why the dry areas were so big. However using a device like this probabkly would have helped prevent it from becoming so hygrophobic in the first place. For people who are doing everything right for their plants, like keeping temps reasonable all the time, hunmidity up all the time, adding amendments like water absorbing products like clay pellets, peat moss etc, the dry spots in their soil may be much less than they were in my last grow. However I think some people will understand that my device mimicks nature more closely than any other method. Of course I am talking about rainwater, which all the tiny holes in this invention are made to create something as close to raindrops faling than anything that I can think of. The reason that there are holes in the rose of some watering cans is exactly for the same reason, However as have said the can has to be held in a very certain way after it starts empotying in order to get the water to come out of all the holes at the same time. This is the reason many watering cans dont even have a rose, becasue many people just dont like them ! With my device you simply pour the water into the device in a few seconds, and then let the device do all the work . Even people who have relatively well moistened soils will realize that maybe this could at least help make their job much easier of they have several plants at least, and may even help get the water to the soil even more evenly than they can by hand .
