d "sorry but it sounds more trouble than it's worth for a relatively simple task".
And I stand by my statement that your comment is ridiculous , since it is just so untrue, and there is nothing complex about it. as I have illustrated as best as I can . The explanation is as simple as using the device , because there is not much I can describe in using the device. I have also pointed out why its even much easier and more effective for some plants , and pots, to use than current watering methods. There are only a few short and easy steps to it ! Maybe you should have explained why it is so complex, instead of posting such a serious criticism without explanation. I think there have been far more aggresive and condescending comments on this site than calling someones comment ridiculous. Maybe if you cant handle someone defending themselves to your insults and need to write a long post about it ,especially after clearly explaining why your comnent riduklous than maybe you need to grow up. Also everyone knows that bullies cant stand it when people they harass fight back. When I apologoized for offending anyone ,I wasnt talking about you, but anyone else reading the comment who at first glance was put off by me saying that on one of my first posts on the site.
You'd have to invest in machinery for a start, or pay an existing company to do , initially at least, a very small run. I can't see it being cheap. I'm all for the little guy making it big, but I fear , £4.60 ( UK equivalent of $8Canadian ) is a bit pricey
Well I was thinking about getting the company who made the mold for the microwave cover to make the mold for this since it would be so similar, only a few holes and a slit would need to be added for the first model. I just want to get it out there and have people talking about it. I have a wealthy relative who would probably help me get started ny the way, so a small run of say 50,000 might cost me $25,000 at 50 cents each, which I think we could handle if we thought people were keen on getting one . I am trying to get people to make their own first just to get a buzz about started . I now know for sure I should be targeting marijuana growers after posting on this site. It seems that most peoples houseplants are simply not like weed plants with the one inch on average thick stem in the center withour branches coming down all over the place getting in the way, and also in large pots like a few gallons and bigger . Anyhow it was good practice for me to find ouw what the average home gardener is thinking. I beleive that the typical home gardener who does have some plants that would benefit from this device probably will try making their own one day after thinking more about it while they are watering their plants. I encourage such people after they are through with one of their plants ,in a large pot, to water the pot as they normally would ,and then dig up the soil. I am sure they would be surprsied to find how many large dry clumps are in the pot, which are obviously useless for the health of the plant, since roots cannot grow in dry hard soil ,Im sure everyone knows .
"so a small run of say 50,000 might cost me $25,000 at 50 cents each" Can i ask where you get this figure? Has the manufacturer given you a quotation for this? Do you have a patent, or copyright on your product , if not , what's to stop someone else copying it or making something pretty much the same? Have you done any market research to find retailers who will. WILL, not "might" stock your product ?
I imagine that the company commissioning the manufacturer of the microwave cover holds a patent for their design and the manufacturer will be contracted to them ... I doubt if they will be able to produce any for you without you having first negotiated a contract or licence with the commissioning company and/or the holder of the patent.

It replaces a one step process with a three step process ... it is therefore more complex. not when you consider that you have to move the watering can all over the top of the soil in each area for the same amount of time. As the can emptied you have to hold the can at a more acute angle, gradually increasing it as you go along, or the stream will not come out evenly ,just dribble down the side of the rose . It takes only about 10 -20 seconds to water with this device , significantly longer with a can , which has to be held the whole time

I dont have a patent, I have applied for a patent, you have to get a filing date first and this I have done. Sounds like you just assumed I wasnt smart enough to do that by going on about it, without just asking have you applied for a patent ? I havent looked around for retailers yet, but again, it sounds like you assume that I am too stupid to undertand that this is part opf the process. I have simply decided to see what people are thinking about it first online. There is no reason I should have to look around for retailers first !
