I don't know if anyone watches the breakfast news on BBC, but there was an item with Paddy McGuiness's wife about the problems they have in car parks when they use disabled spaces. They have autistic 6 yr old twins and another young child. Someone challenged her [while the blue badge was displayed] and she responded very eloquently. I'm not sure how she had the restraint when she possibly felt like punching him. She gets that cr*p every week. What is wrong with people?
A friend of a friend had an email as his company van was seen parked in a disabled bay in Tesco. He stood in front of his works van wearing shorts so his prosthetic leg was clearly visible and just said " is this not disabled enough for you?"

It's disgusting @Hostafan1. Good for him showing the pic - but he shouldn't have to do it.
The irony is that the man in the item who took issue with her parking there [the children weren't in wheelchairs so can't be disabled eh?] had a blue badge too, but he was walking quite normally, so she could have understandably have said  'pot and kettle you *****'
Bearing in mind how stressful it can be going anywhere with young children, even if they don't have challenging issues, I'm not sure how I would have reacted.

Some supermarkets have family parking next to the disabled ones, in UK and here in Dordogne. I wish they'd had them when I had four little ones. They weren't disabled, thank heavens, but they were energetic!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

3 1/2 hour round trip to hospital for an appointment of about 15 mins.
    Devon.
  • It’s a drag @Hostafan1 ... it takes us under 10 minutes to get to the hospital .... but we don’t have your fabulous views 😕 Hope all goes according to plan 🤗

Further to our pancake discussion, I found this
    http://www.rampantscotland.com/recipes/blrecipe_crumpets.htm
The main difference is the separated egg. Slightly less flour than our pancakes would have too.
I wonder if this is where your MrsW gets the melted butter from @Dovefromabove?

I'm off to make some pancakes. Might put the recipe on the thread if I can find it  :)

Saw that Dove - littlest chicklet and I were exchanging “my rain is heavier than your rain” videos this morning 🤪

Just made my festive pudding mix (can’t bring myself to use the 🎄 word just yet).  Tomorrow will be a day of steaming 💨
  • I’ve still got one of ‘those puddings’ left from last year ... I’ll have to check it ... I expect Wonky will want it ... she loves them.
