All scrubbed and polished, fed and watered and feet up. Hazel, your baby acer will colour up nicely. I have two that I've grown from seeds off Osakazuki. They are about 30 inches high now. One has the same colour as the parent and the other is a lovely orange colour (like a Crunchie bar). They grow in two big planters outside my front window.
Chive my roses are Eustacia Vye and Gabriel Oak. I went for those two after a recommendation from M-U.
My Mrs Ps have been back in the garden but they are more timid than yours PF. They fly off as soon as I go into the garden but they'll be back thanks to the messy eating of the starlings who scatter the bird seed everywhere.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Pretty sure it’s Diwali around this time plus of course bonfire night means fireworks aplenty around here. I got the smallest box available for tomorrow night, Maisie really hates loud bangs” Nanny I am an animal dragon not a firework dragon!” If it rains I won’t even set those off will keep them for New Year
Ante - I hope that tomorrow has a little less rain for your planting but at least it will save you the job of watering in your saplings. You see, some good comes from the rain

Ante , those little figures are lovely . I hate the shooting season also . In the village where my father was born you could hear the shoot going on the moors . Very distressing.
