Afties all. My (not so handy) brother has just left. I am in a state of collapse. Remember us talking about extra/missing screws and various other accoutrements. If my brother could mess things up he did. We had panels the wrong way round; the wrong size dowels put into the holes - 'Why won't these fit?' Err 'Because you are using the wrong ones. Look at the plan!' Bless him he was trying - my patience anyway. Between us we got the unit completed and I'm pleased with it but now all I want to do is chill out. The David Attenborough programme will help me do that.
Debs - you deserve to be proud, I cannot run for the toilet PF never mind a bus, well done to your daughter and lovely thoughts of your Dad around the bonfire tonight.
Chey, I'm positive that that is the one Debs' daughter is running for. I don't think there's a Kefalonia in the West Midlands.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good evening to all. I came home an hour ago very, very tired. At last all saplings are in the soil. It was cloudy and foggy but fortunately no rain. But mud, mud everywhere.
LB, you know why I like to work alone. Your example with your brother is a perfect evidence.
Debs you should be very proud.
Chey, like Lb wrote before, Kefalonia is in the Greece and literally means Stone land. Old greek word Kefa = stone.
I totally agree Ante but I needed his muscles! Never mind, all was fine in the end. Well done for getting the saplings planted. Your weather today sounds just like mine has been and its raining now.
Interesting about the meaning of Kephalonia too. My new bit of knowledge for today
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Ante, having seen quite a few Greek islands in my time, I can only think that Kefalonia must be very very very very very very very very stony to have been given that name.😁
LB, your brother and I would get on like a house on fire. We could unpack what is described on the box as a kitchen cupboard and end up with a go-kart. 😊
Unless there is all out war I would leave them to it . If they respect each other’s territory perhaps that’s all you can expect at the moment. Our cats are happy together most of the time . There are occasions when we have to break up a confrontation . Then they retire to there chosen corner .

Debs, hope you all enjoy the family gathering. Is hubby doing the catering?
Good on your daughter doing the charity run.
Pansy, sleep at last....bliss. hope it continues.
Debs - is that the one near Greece? That's what came up when I googled! Probably not though. Enjoy your evening!
Hazel - I bet that rose will look great next year.

Muddy boots are at cottage but nothing of feet up, my right leg hurts a bit.
LB at weekend afternoon is my favorite tv program. First David Attenborough and Blue planet and Poirot immediately after.
Sorry, I used f instead ph😁.
