My Mum and Dad married in 1943 and she wore an outfit like you just described Ruby. I'm not sure what colour it was but from the photos it was a light colour.

It seems a lot of brides wore similar wedding clothes in those days LB .

Pretty sure Queen Victoria set a fashion for white wedding dresses. Colours are getting more fashionable now my own daughter wore a very pale apricot, she is an olive skinned brunette so it suited her better than white would have done and I know pink is getting more popular too. Not a lot of people can wear pure white and look their best.

Good morning everyone. Thick fog here this morning but I don't think it will last very long (fingers crossed!) I hope that it is kind for Debs and the bonfire today. Whatever you are all up to today I hope that you have a good one.

Good morning all! Proud mommy here as my youngest daughter is running 10k today. The charity she is running for is ARK an animal rescue centre in Kefalonia only a tiny charity but she has raised £260 so far which will make a real difference to them.
Dry here and forecast looks promising, it’s my Dads birthday, he passed in 2007 but I like to think he will be  there with us, he loved a good bonfire! Many of his children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren will be gathered together and thinking of him. He was a lovely man, always there for me 100% I know I am very lucky to have had him in my life.
Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday planned! Thanks for all your good wishes
