LB have a fun day with bestie.  Pansy I hope the headache goes soon, the fresh air may help hopefully.  I hope the thin barrier helps as they can have a good sniff.  Chive you'll be looking forward to your break.  MU I hope you all keep warm this autumn/winter.  How are the cats doing?  I'm wearing my Aunts ring today.  She was my favourite.  Nothing flash a simple domed round pretty marcasite ring which I love.  Have a good day.

Cats love to be outside, but letting them roam around on their own can lead to the possibility of your feline friend getting dirty, lost, or worse, hurt. The latest solution? The catio (a patio, for cats—get it?).

A catio is like a man cave (or a she-shed) for Whiskers: an enclosed backyard space that allows him to run around or take a nap, filled with scratching posts, shelves, stairs, and maybe even a plant or two.

If you're a cat owner who struggles with letting your cat roam outdoors, a catio is the best of both worlds: cats can safely enjoy the fresh air while owners have peace of mind knowing their cats are protected.

Intrigued by the idea? Seattle-based Catio Spaces specializes in designing and building custom catios in the Seattle area.

Joyce , our cat run is similar. It is built to cover the back door so the cats can’t escape . We have a door in the cat run that gives access to the garden .

Hello everyone - we're back, I'm here - just been incredibly busy the last couple of days. Haven't had a chance to read back just yet but I'll make a cuppa in a bit and sit down and have a catch up. Speak later🙂👋

  • Well, they mostly are. I bought one of those huge pale grey jobs a few months back. Didn’t know where to put it until we got round to eating it. We eat very little and a pumpkin needs a plan. So I used it as a door stop in the kitchen.

Marathon reading session but I've finally caught up with you all - LB and her Paul Newman dentist, Pansy's continuing saga of Elsa & LC, Hazel finished decorating (famous last words😉), magic mushrooms and the rest of daily Rezzer life.

We got home on Tuesday morning 12 hours earlier than planned. Can't remember when I last spoke to you but we've 'done' some pretty German towns, 2 saunas and a few museums. Weather wasn't too bad considering it's October and was positively warm (mid 20's) on Sunday. Apparently it rained every day we were away - hooray - get those ground water levels up!

Monday we went to the Airbourne Museum at Oosterbeek near Arnhem. All about operation Market Garden and the battle for Arnhem bridge. Good museum and some very moving exhibits and displays. Thoroughly enjoyed it (although that's probably not the right term to use) - very interesting, anyway. Timed it right for once - 75th commemorative exhibitions still up and the museum closes for several months next week while they do some renovations. We usually arrive the day after they lock the door....

Good to be home although OH is away for a karting weekend from tonight until Sunday night and then I'm going on a weekend residential course at Madingley Hall, Cambridge next week. Quite a lot going on over the next 2 weeks but hoping to get some gardening done at some stage. The grass has grown more in the last 10 days than in the last 3 months...

Afties all. Had a brilliant day with my Bestie and yes, we did go to a garden centre where we had fish finger butties, tea and cakes to die for. Bestie bought a Hellebore and I bought a Tee shirt plus some little extra thins for that festive season we don't mention. Just to give you a hint, this is what greeted us in one section:

Joyce, that catio is BRILLIANT! I love it. The cat flap in the window is a bit weird but it looks just the job for cats you want to keep safe.
Hello T'Bird and welcome back. Hello @charolette93 , I'm a bit intrigued by your post. Was it meant to be posted here on Rez?
PF an apple that will last for a year is not something I have ever longed for. I agree with Chive and Runners. Why would anyone in their right mind look for that property in an apple, especially as they look like they are made out of sealing wax.

    Evening!

I'd love a roof catio for Luco.

I don't often buy apples but when I do they don't last long - usually end up in cake or pie!

I do think we're in for a bad winter. Based on the summer we had... luckily I live exactly 28 seconds away from the McColl's round the corner, so don't have to venture down the hill which becomes an absolute death trap as soon as snow falls.

Hello there Chey. How did you get on at the Doc's the other day? I guess McColls could be a SM?
