Good morning girls, Well, we’ve have had so much rain, I don’t mind really as the RoadfordĀ Reservoir got very low, but all the same, it could stop just for a little while, at least until I’ve fed the birds.šŸ˜€

Doesn't matter anyway when you're retired.Ā  When I worked I had to garden on free weekends, whatever the weather.Ā  Now I can choose my moment.

It's lovely out there today but I have reached the still blocked head with newly tight chest phase so coughing as well as spluttering.Ā  At this rate of progress I should be fine by tomorrow and will have a go at planting bulbs this pm and taking some rose cuttings.

OH is watching the rugby.Ā  There was a really interesting programme about the weasel family last night with 3 lady PdDs doing research on intelligence in honey badgers, olfactory powers in wolverines and flexible physionomy in ferrets, all alive alive-oh.Ā  The only male PhD was doing lab experiments with skulls and jaws in clamps and muscle tissu in petrie dishes.Ā  Odd.

Cat looks comfy @Liriodendron tho perhaps not completely relaxed.Ā  Ā We woke up to bits of dead mouse in one corner and a live one in the other.Ā  Managed to rescue that one and release it without help from cats or Rasta.

I missed that prog @Obelixx, but I saw the end of it. Will get it on the catch up thingy.
The head blocked bit is the worst. Hope you get a bit of progress with it today. I always liked those inhaler doodahs, but it looked dubious if anyone saw you using itĀ  ;)
Hi Lyn- have your birds not got waders like the ones here?Ā  :D

I have a diffuser thingy that helps at night @Fairygirl.

I had to feed our birds this morning @Lyn cos OH was wrapped up in rugby world.Ā  Ā At least he doesn't commentate tho.

I think I’ll have to put a few pairs out for them, I will be putting mine on to brave the elements and feed the birds.
There’s Ā a stray cat living in the garden, just a young one, still has blue eyes, he’s living at the end of the garden so hopefully he’s sheltering under the lorry, Ā I’ve been feeding him and hopefully he will gain trust and come in, it takes a long time with cats though, I thought he may have come closer yesterday but no. 😢

Rather unkind of him not to do it for you @Obelixx, seeing as you have the lurgy. Men eh?Ā  ;)
It's already warmer here than it was yesterday, so I'm going to put some layers on and get a walk and then see what takes my fancy in outdoor jobs afterwards.Ā
    Stay dry/warm folksĀ  :)

There was Cosmos pussy sunning himself on the living room windowsill when a dippy warbler landed on the stone work just near his head.Ā  Amazingly, Cosmos reacted instantly and caught it!Ā  Don't know who was more surprised - me, him or the bird but I was able to release it and it's flown off with ruffled feathers.Ā  Ā

Hope you manage to rescue that kitten @Lyn.

Exactly @Dovefromabove .Ā  I've been hearing them around for ages but they've only recently been visible.Ā  I hope it tells its pals to be careful.Ā  Our bird feeders are well away from pussy hiding places but this one was just asking for it.

Oh lawks!Ā  OH has gone all weepy.Ā  I'd have thought he'd be grinning foolishly.
