  • I didnt think the Vicountess would be in the dance off.......I doubt if she has a 'following' also I expect people voting are fed up with the Longleat charges.😆

You're right it is a popularity contest more than dance.

I will admit to voting for Chris Ramsey because l felt the judges undermarked him and Karen, and l like his attitude.
I don't expect him to get to the final, but at this stage of the competition l go by attitude and improvement, and although he and Karen have a laugh and a joke, he seems to me to be working hard. Same goes for Mike Bushell (although l didn't vote for him), Katya seems to have gone for a serious dance this week without a load of gimmicks , he was trying hard and he's certainly lost some weight (but 9 ? Really ?).
Over the years it has changed from a dance competition,  l wonder how Christopher Parker would do these days ?

I was surprised to see Emma in the dance-off.
Why do they make such a fuss about her being a Viscountess? She is only a Viscountess because she married Viscount Weymouth.

    👍 @Busy-Lizzie 😎

And he’s only a viscount because of ‘an accident of birth’ 😉

At least he had the gumption to stand up to his parents and marry the woman he’d chosen for himself.

I must admit I find the rumba a bit, sort of, yucky (sorry!) but I loved the song.  So many memories..."Ain't no Sunshine".  James Brown.  Yes!
I know what you mean.   Also, I, sometimes, find the Argentinian Tango can, a tad too suggestive...

My favourite version of that beautiful song:

  • Well Craig did say the Rumba was "Filthy" 😉

Must have missed something.  All I saw was a celebrity male being given some decent steps instead of just changing weight from one foot to another and said male using his feet correctly - toes, no heels - and thus getting the hip sway and swivel the judges look for.   Good upper body posture and finishing with his hands too.   Not filthy.

Must say I agree with you there @Obelixx ... I’ve seen much more ‘explicit’ gyrations on Top of the Pops ... ‘society’ is becoming so prudish (and yet so prurient) nowadays ... we’ll be putting frills around piano legs before long 🙄 🤣
