Wasn't Michelle supposed to be the unappreciated housewife who gets her mans attention with her dancing and at the end turns the tables on him, maybe that explained the dress?
I didnt think it was that frumpy ... retro yes, but that pleated fabric with a nod to Fortuny has been all over the catwalks for the past couple of years ... what might’ve helped it look better would’ve been a firmer undergarment ... pleats are very unforgiving of bulges ... I don’t wear them 🤣 However I think those of us who are 27 might see that style and think of it as frumpy as it reminds us of the 50s ... the Strictly costume dept is presumably staffed by under 27 year olds. 😉
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I had never heard of the singer of "Bring him home" either. It's such a difficult song and for me Colm Wilkinson set the bar. The best singer l have heard "live" was John Owen-Jones . Gave me goose bumps. I really enjoyed the end when they all started doing the conga. It made such a change from just sobbing in the middle of the dance floor!

Surprised about one of the “Dance off “ contestants but the right person went
Well the right couple went in the end.
Amys dress was best!
We both liked Amy's dress too and I liked Saffron's dress but not the lining. OH liked Alex's frock. Katya's Paso dress was rather gorgeous too.
We both thought Michelle's dress was frumpy and it didn't need to be for the story.
