Long may it continue indeed @chicky.
That reminded me of someone I worked with when she asked if I had something in a cafe at the top of hills....
I remember sending her a pic of us having a snack at the benches on Meall a Bhuiridh, in GlencoeĀ  -where the ski centre is. She did see the funny side - she genuinely thought every hill had a cafeĀ  :D
They've just played Streets of London on the radio. Nothing's really changed has it?
Must have got some dust in my eyes or something. They're watering...
Had to do a bit of horse wrangling when I was out. A dog walker had got the farmer's son out, as one of the DIY horses at the farm had got out the field, and had wrapped itself round some wire and a broken fence post....
I missed half of Popmaster dealing with it while they looked on totally helpless :(Ā  Ā  ;)

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Well done @Fairygirl šŸ‘Ā

did you also miss Little Red Corvette and Boz Scaggs’ High Sierra? ... think Mt Bruce had a car theme going this morning šŸ˜‚Ā

No - heard them Dove. I love KenĀ  Ā :)
That Boz Scaggs track is always great - whether in a car themed item or notĀ Ā  ;)
Perhaps it should be Little Red Courgette for aĀ  gardening forum...

I remember years ago waiting at traffic lights listening to Little Red Corvette behind ....a little red Corvette šŸ˜ŽĀ

Whats the chance of that eh?Ā

I love that Boz Skaggs track ... and we’re both huge Ken Bruce fans ā¤ļøĀ

    Good coincidenceĀ Ā  :)
It'll be a sad day when ol' Ken hangs up his headphonesĀ  :/

  • Hi everyone not been on much recently-no particular reason. We saw Stephen Fry at the Palladium last night he is doing his Mythos tour at the moment, they have had to put extra dates on as it keeps selling out- he is so good an evening well spent.

On the Garden front I have been on a grand quest recently,--down to the bottom of the garden behind the greenhouse! You have to keep in mind that it's well over 50 feet away from the patio so full explorer equipment required Secatuers, loppers-extra rations!! For many years we have done the same as Carol Kline in that we grow our spring bulbs in pots, they "live" down behind the greenhouse to be brought up to the patio to flower and then return to die back & rest, trouble is over the years not all of them make it back up & any pots that sit for more than 6 months in one spot tend to get invaded by laurel roots (laurel hedge at the bottom of the garden) so the number of non-productive pots & planters had grown considerably. Me (with some help from OH) have spent the most part ofĀ  each of the last few days down there investigating pot contents (or lack of them) & generally restoring some order & sense to it all. So we now have a dozen pots & baskets with bulbs and nearly twice that number empty containers liberated. I just need another two bags of pine bark mulch to finish off & it will be done -well for now at least.Ā
    AB Still learning

  • Glad you enjoyed Stephen Fry ... I’m dipping in and out of his Mythos book at the moment and enjoying it 😊

Good to have a bit of a clear out @Allotment Boy. It becomes a chore if you don't.
Did you need one of these to get down the garden ?Ā  ;)

Been lovely here this afternoon. Some ominous clouds came in but rain stayed away, so I was able to get on with the other cage for the big feeder. Why do jobs that are really quite simple, always take so long?Ā  :D
Back's too sore for much else. Hey ho. It'll be fine tomorrow.Ā

Hi folks, Hope you feel better soon @Liriodendron never had chicken pox or shingles but it sounds very painful.Ā  Used to listen to Ken when I was at work driving between appointments loved him.Ā  I miss Terry the most he used to have me in stitches especially when he did the Janet and John sketches.Ā  I'm sure people must have thought I was completely mad as I drove along laughing loudly.
Been out shopping today, not normally something I enjoy doing.Ā  Went with Bestie as she was looking for a new rug (carpet not wig).Ā  Ended up buying a lovely set of pink saucepans and a couple of new tops for the Autumn.Ā Ā  Managed a bit of deadheading early this morning ended up removing loads of straggly lobelia from pots now I need to find something to fill the gaps. Fed all the pots to try and keep them going.Ā  On nanna duty tomorrow and Friday so it's an early start for me.
Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
