    Morning all.
Glad you had a good visit Chicky. It poured when we went there but it was still lovely.

I had just been telling OH about Michael Palin and the kakapo when he said to me ā€˜Did you know that Gary Numan is older than Gary Oldman?’ Ā

The things I have to contend with in the morning šŸ™„ 🤣
    Ā :DĀ
Did you ever watch the thing Charlie Brooker did which was a cop show spoof? A Touch Of Cloth [Ā  ;) ] The female cop was called Anne Oldman, but she insisted it was pronounced Old Man. It was brilliant - so many 'in jokes' .Ā  :D

iPad got stuck, gone to Laptop.

Was going to say what a lovely photo that is. We are going back to France on Tuesday too so we may also need help with the lawn!

Our lunch went very well yesterday, the two couples got on well.

@Fairygirl I was chatting to the nursery owner yesterday, and she said echinaceas are notoriously short lived .....so maybe thats why.  This one is not only long lived, but also fancy 🌸

    Ā

The achillea is playing a supporting role in that shot.....along with the fetching yellow hosepipe šŸ’›

    I like a fetching hosepipe.... ;)
Very fancy indeed. How strange that it's the exotic looking type which is longer livedĀ  :)
I used to have A. ptarmica The Pearl, which looked quite similar.Ā
@Dovefromabove - I always recorded it so that I could rewind if I missed any of the jokes. I often wondered how many takes they had to do. Don't know how they kept their faces straight!Ā  :D

yesterday's fun involved bringing back 2 of 4 deliveries I took out in the morning.Ā
Why do folk live in valleys with no mobile phone signals and no landlines then wonder why folk can't find them?Ā
The next one involved a dirt track " No suitable for motors" so I thought "naaaaah, I aint goin' down there"

Why do they not go and get their shopping themselves @Hostafan1? Surely they can understand the basic premise that if they live in an awkward location, people will need to contact them if they can't find the house :/
Either that or you'll need to start taking a pigeon with you...

My colleague went to them in the afternoon and one of lanes was so overgrown he said he wouldn't drive his mini down it.

Perhaps they never leave the house and have no idea of how bad it is. Not sure how you tackle that, as a service providerĀ  :/
