Glad you had a good rest @Yviestevie.  Makes a difference. The cake will have helped too   :)
Been lovely here today too. Got a lot done, including starting the other cage for the bigger feeder I have. The birds were funny - I had to remove the base and the two temporary pieces of mesh, and they sat on top of the bracket looking very confused. Made me smile  :)

Evening. Apparently it was a lovely day outside. I worked late so missed it.
    Hope all are ok.
Enjoying ‘A Confession’ - although I realised what the case was in episode 2 so knew what was coming. I think Freeman is good in it, but once someone has been a comedy actor I find it hard to be really absorbed in their serious roles.
Another day flown by, so off to bed soon - undecided whether to watch, or save, Bake Off. If I don’t watch, I will have to avoid spoilers though...

  • I fell asleep at the beginning of the technical ... I’ve been sent to bed with a warm drink ...

  • Good morning Dove!  I'm early on parade this morning because more pain killers were required - clearly this virus didn't read the script which said I needed to be fully functioning between now and the move.  Managed some sedentary jobs yesterday, though, including sorting out paperwork, so all is not lost.   :)

Hope you have a lovely holiday!

    Morning all.
Had a rubbish sleep - oh well. Looks like a bright and clear day outside - just about to venture out with a cuppa.
    Have a good day everyone.

Good morning.  Bright, fresh and sunny here again.   It's lovely but too dry to do any gardening and too hot and sunny to want to get on with jobs indoors.

On the other hand, that does leave me guilt free when I stand there gazing and thinking about finding a permanent home in the ground for my wee Japanese maple woodland.   Need to get them out of pots I think.  Hostas too.

    @Liriodendron hope it's better today.

Anyone heard from @Lily Pilly?  Hope she's OK too and doing better.

Morning all/afties Pat if you're there.
Cloudy and chilly here. I had an iffy sleep too @AuntyRach. May have been because I fell asleep on the settee, although I sleep better if I do that. It was a bit later than you though @Dovefromabove ;) .
    Bake off was good.
I had to check on the story again @AuntyRach. I couldn't remember what happened to the murderer after the initial case. I know what you mean about actors being known for comedy etc, but so any of them are terrific at both - Sanjeev Bhaskar, Olivia Colman etc. Other way round too - David Tennant is very funny.
Perusing is always good @Obelixx. Not heard from LP. Hope she's alright.
Take it easy @Liriodendron. Any idea how long it'll take to settle?

  • Oh do try to rest as much as you can @Liriodendron ... it makes all the difference ((hugs)).
