Have just watched Lavuelta replay - my heart is still racing from the finish.đ Todayâs episode finished in Toledo. What a fantastic city. The aerial photos are wonderful opportunity.
Afternoon all. Been busy with Jonah and Gabriel over the past few days but have managed to get a couple of hours in the garden today. Had a bit of an eventful night. About midnight heard and saw blue flashing lights and sirens next thing I know two marked police cars, two unmarked and a police dog van screamed into the street and surrounded a red parked car. Shouts of 'hands where I can see them' followed by 'get down on the floor' were accompanied by the barking of a police dog all at full volume. Have no idea what it was about but two young men ended up being hauled away in handcuffs. Bit of a shock as we live in quite a quiet road.
good evening. Yet another garden tool has given up. I've had a border fork, a garden spade and a garden fork, ( not my lovely old one ) a rake and a hoe break on me this year. Why are handles so crap these days?
Evening all. Canât help thinking about Triggerâs broom when you said that Hosta! Had a lovely day pottering about in the garden - did a few âend of seasonâ jobs, like wash and sort pots and clean potting bench. Just having an ale and settling down for some TV now. Hope you all ok.Â
Well ... thatâs the Proms put to bed for another year 𶠠Son  and colleagues have been busy there doing  comms stuff and will busy there for a few days yet with the music in Hyde Park ... I see the fireworks have happened at the right time ... that was something up to with them too đÂ
Now I think itâs time to go to bed and listen to Paul Gambaccini ...
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Greenhouse visiting was successful - all decisions now made.  Looking at base/walls being built this autumn, and frame ready in Jan/Feb next year .....just in time for seed sowing đ„łđ±đ„ł
Morning all/afties Pat. Have a good day @Hostafan1. Shame about the tools. I bought myself a new spade a few years ago, as I'd managed to crack the handle on my little spade that I'd had for decades. Don't like the new one, so I gaffer taped the old one back together. That's a bit alarming @Yviestevie. Not nice when you live somewhere that normally avoids that kind of disturbance. Looking good for your greenhouse @chicky Bit calmer here today thankfully, after all the wind yesterday. I got very little done outside, as the wind was chucking stuff around a bit too much. Good for drying the washing though. Rain was hammering down last night. Not sure what today will bring yet.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
