I thought I'd seen a kestrel too @Pat E. The three of them were swooping around on the lower slopes of a hill in Glen Lyon. That one sat on the stile on a deer fence, and was quite happy for me to take some pix. I didn't think any more about it until I put a photo on the wildlife thread here, and @Sheps told me it was a young merlin. The other two were probably the parents. They were quite red.  :)

@Hostafan1 ......would like a light, so I can go out there and potter whatever time I get home.  Thinking about shading blinds too.  Definitely an underground water reservoir..... and not sure if I would use the window ledge type shelving as well as the staging 🤔.  Decisions decisions.  This is all being made possible by a legacy left to me by my favourite aunt and uncle.  They were my gardening gurus ....so no doubt they will be whispering in my ear 😇😇

Just been out to pick raspberries and pears for breakfast .....feel like Barbara from the Good Life 😊

That's such a lovely way to spend your gift. I hope it gives so many years of pleasure.

We bought a solar powered light for our potager @Chicky.  Yet to be installed but it works on a sensor so only comes on when I go down late to pick veg for dinner.  That's the theory anyway.

Lovely way to spend a legacy.  Enjoy.

I hope you have a lovely time choosing what to have in your GH, @chicky.

We have a new resident on the kitchen terrace. It's a small, slim, light brown bird with a slightly pink breast. I think it's a female linnet.

Another hot day today, badly need rain.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • How lovely @Busy-Lizzie 😊
