Hi @Hostafan1 😊 enough rain to be useful? Or have you had enough already ...

not enough to be useful, given how low the bird bath is. Better than no rain at all.
    Devon.
  • Think you’ve had more than us ... my Gardener’s Garters is all shriveled and brown  :/

    we don't want shrivelled garters
    Devon.
  • They’re not a lot of use like that 😢

Ooh err missus - shrivelled garters  :o
Could be worse I suppose. It could be a moist russet.
I should really just go now...
Morning early birds/afties Pat if you're dropping in  :)
You can have some of our 'moistness'. We have plenty to share in the next few days. Think you're getting some tomorrow @Dovefromabove, if the forecast's correct.
I could pop down @Yviestevie - I dont think I'll be cutting my grass anyway. Hope you're having a lovely holiday.  :)

    Beautiful sunset @Yviestevie 😀😀😀

Had a great day at Sussex Prairie Garden yesterday.  Will post pics on the garden visits thread.....but here is a taster

The plant sale was good too.....picked up a couple of echinacea Southern Belle (the only echinacea to survive in my garden for more than a couple of years .....its now in its sixth season and still going strong ......have been looking for more for ages), some achillea Perrys White (seen and admired at Wisley), a couple of tall white thalictrums (I love the purple ones, so thought I’d ring the changes), and an old zinc watering can for a very reasonable price 😀😀😀. All in all a very good haul 👍🏻

Good haul indeed @chicky, and lovely pic. Why do you think the echinaceas don't do well? I'd have thought you would have good conditions for them.
I have a white thalictrum but it's never done terribly well. I gave it another chance, because I'd had  to move it, but it's on a final warning.
I'm contemplating a nursery visit for a couple of bright achilleas for the hotter bed. Perhaps tomorrow as it's to be wet, and it would help avoid doing h****work.  ;)

  • Morning @Fairygirl 😊
my phone says we’ll get rain on Wednesday and again on Friday ... that’s coz we’ve got an old friend coming to stay Thurs - Sat ... we had planned to visit Cromer but it looks damp there on Friday ... 💡 Southwold looks clear tho.

I had just been telling OH about Michael Palin and the kakapo when he said to me ‘Did you know that Gary Numan is older than Gary Oldman?’

The things I have to contend with in the morning 🙄 🤣
