Have to have a signal tho @Hostafan1.Ā  Some areas of the Highlands and Lake District don't have masts - unless things have improved since I needed a car tow after running into an unexpected flood rounding a corner by Thirlmere a few years ago.
But for those areas which DO have ....
    Devon.
  • What3words is Brilliant!!! Love it. Ours is so funny too

@Pat E ... bless you, they won’t let you fall off ... just think of the accusatory newspaper headlines they let that happen 😱

Ā And remember, it’s just to see how your heart is working ... it’s not testing you at how good you are at treadmills ((hug)).
Ā Tell them you’re anxious/nervous about it ... it’s their job to look after you and keep you safe ... it’s what they get paid for ... isn’t it @punkdoc šŸ‘Øā€āš•ļø šŸ˜‰Ā

    Hi all

Back to non swollen self today [ no sniggering ]
Don't worry about it @Pat E, the people that perform these tests will look after you, they expect people to be anxious and are used to people who are able to do far less than you.
I have quite a dilemma about going to London. It will be very tiring [ bad ], but interesting and will pay very well [ good ]
How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

Yes - absolutely @Hostafan1. Signals can be very hit and miss, but it's surprising how good the signal can be on top of hills. It's in the glens that you struggle for a signal. I often send youngest a text from the summit, but she knows that if I don't, it's often because I've forgotten, and then it's difficult until I get into an area of reception. Usually when I'm half way homeĀ  ;)
    You'll be fine @Pat E. They'll understand that it's not something you're used to doing.Ā  :)

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • @punkdoc ... is there any way you can arrange things so it’s less tiring? Ā ā€˜Interesting’ and ā€˜good pay’ are both very good indeed and should improve the serotonin levels šŸ˜‰Ā

Thanks for your support Dove and Fairy. Ā I’ve got another month to get used to the idea, so maybe I’ll get brave.Ā

Try and stay positive @Pat E. I'll join you on mine if you tip me the wink about when it isĀ  :)
@punkdoc - can you stay a few nights and break the journey up etc? I know the day itself [or days] will be exhausting, but adrenalin will carry you through. Maybe the night [and day] after will be the most tiring.Ā

Make sure you get a double room at the hotel and treat yourself a Moira to a night out when in town. You both deserve it.

Glad you are back to normal @punkdoc

I don't have a Smartphone either. My address has been wrongly mapped so that Sat Navs take people to the wrong house and the Tax office uses the wrong address, despite my telling them several times. We get things delivered here, including a recent speeding fine letter, to the people who live in the other house. Very little phone signal here either. The cottage in Norfolk alsoĀ has very little signal, none at all for Vodafone.

The new mattress was comfy but I got very hot so I threw off the summer duvet and had a thin blanket, then I woke up cold a couple of hours later. OH was fine. Think I had a hot flush. Came off the HRT in the spring so still get hot flushes.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
