Good morning LB and Pansy and all to follow. I didn't get to bed until 2am and then slept until 6.30am. a more autumnal morning today. I'm never far from a warm camisole under clothes when it gets to autumn. It was rather chilly but it could be I'm tired. Having a cup of tea and watching Breakfast on the beeb. Topbird you'll be glad to be home to your own bed and pillows. Keep warm and have a good day. Joyce I've not had an electric blanket but when it gets really cold I put bed socks on but sounds cosy.
Morning LB, Rebecca, Hazel & Chive. Hi and bye PF😁. I also hate having visitors who are ‘up and at it’ before me and all jolly and chatty first thing in the morning. My brain and mouth don’t work together until after 10am.
Got a lot of jobs done yesterday. Lots more to do today.
Runners - the lights haven’t been done in the m/home yet. We had somebody round to look at the practicalities of doing the work & he’s coming back on Thursday to actually do it. Think it will make quite a difference now the evenings are drawing in.
Hazel - get the impression you think I do long cycle journeys. I don’t. OH regularly does 50 - 70 mile days but I don’t really do more than about 20 or 25 miles at any one time & that’s not often. Mainly do around 5 mile jaunts. In Germany we found the bikes really useful because we could leave the m/home just outside a town and then cycle the last mile or so along cycle paths into the centre. My back & hip don’t like walking very far at all but they don’t mind a little bike ride. It’s a bit of a slog both cycling & walking up hill but on a bike you at least get a free ride when you come back down! I do wear lycra for longer bike rides simply because padded pants and skin tight clothes are much more comfortable. It doesn’t look great but I’m past worrying about that. I always wear a helmet in the UK because the roads are not that safe for cyclists. I didn’t wear one very often in Europe because you are always separated from the traffic and, therefore, very unlikely to come off your bike.
Best get on with some stuff.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

I have my own grape vines. Grape crop is 50 % less but it's still enough for me and neighbours. Extra sweet variety.
Good night everyone. Sweet dreams.
I am going to bed to read . Goodnight everyone.
Night, night Rubee.
