Afties all. I have had an interesting day. It was lovely to visit Tebay again after a 5 year break and catch up with the northern rellies. We saw a horrible accident on the M6 south on our way up - as far as I am aware no one was hurt but a huge earth moving vehicle had fallen off its carrier and we learned later that several hundred litres of diesel were spilt. This meant a road re-surface which meant our return journey was almost 4 hours long (should have taken an hour for me). We drove all round the most beautiful scenic countryside to pick up the M6 at Junction 31. I hope that doesn't happen on Friday!
T'Bird, I have been to Larch Cottage lots of times. I just love going there and they have interesting, unusual plants. On our round the world tour sadly we saw 2 dead red squirrels on the roads - despite a warning sign on that particular stretch of road that red squirrels might be seen for 5 miles. I was very very sad. Some drivers just don't drive carefully enough!
PF respect to you for binding such a miniscule book for the Doll House. I just love that library.
Chey - correct! I saw Baga Chipz on the news item this morning. I am really pleased to hear that you are getting yourself immersed in the course and enjoying the challenge. Ruby, it sounds as though you have had a great day out! That GC can now go into your list of places to be visited often! Sounds as if a few plants jumped into your basket! The jug collection sounds lovely.
Ante I am so sorry to hear about your poor neighbour who has broken her arm. What a shame for her. Will you be able to manage? Sorry, thats a silly question, I bet that you will! I am glad that you managed to save your Poinsettia. Which cat had the guilty look on its face?

    Hi LB.
I'm glad that you had a nice day at Tebay. It's important that nobody was hurt in that car accident.
I'll have much more to do at garden by myself but I think that I'll manage.
Also I don't know which cat thrown down pot but I suspect on two little ones. Only they don't know yet that my pots are forbidden for play with or use in different way.😊

Rubee, that's an interesting collection of jugs you have.

LB, a detour is preferable to sitting at a standstill for ages.  Nice for you to have caught up with more rellies.

Ante, naughty cats!  Sorry that your elderly helper has broken her arm.

Dozed off earlier so off to bed now.  Sweet dreams.

A very good morning to one and all. Was in 'sco at 06:10 today - one of the jobs my detour yesterday stuffed up but at least it was quiet and I was home by 06:40. I'm at my Bestie's today having my hair done for Saturday but I won't be there long as I need to get some packing done. Whatever you all get up to today I hope you have a fantastic time.

PF - a bit of a laugh for you either before you depart or when you get back. My Ozzie niece was telling me yesterday that she is being roped into making 'wedding' cakes today. For Saturday! She is not totally thrilled with that idea at all! The cakes are going to be sponge cakes I guess - bit late to be doing the whole 3 tier fruit cake jobbie! I did not exaggerate about this wedding planning!
