"I don't think the needle is very nice this year!" says Nurse Mellor, approximately 0.4 seconds before she jabs me with it.

    At least it's done now!

I did want to smack the ladies loudly whining that they didn't see the point since everyone will get colds anyway.

I'd rather be a bit sniffly for a few days than have full on flu, thanks.

Sod's law isn't it Lants? They'll either all arrive at once, or just as you sit down from the first one the second will arrive...

Morning Chive, Chey and Ruby. Indeed Chive. I cannot tell you how glad I will be once this wedding is over and done with. I did find a nice card though

Morning Lants, you snuckered in. I would love to find a mountain lion in my bathroom - with reservations of course!

    Morning.
Didn’t get back on here yesterday as my cold had given me the headache to end all headaches. Kept trying to do stuff but gave up at lunchtime and retired to the sofa with a duvet. Couldn’t get warm at all. At bedtime I had OH’s sleeping bag on top of the duvet and a hot water bottle. Usually have just a sheet or the lightest of summer duvets so very unusual for me. Then someone flipped the switch andI was boiling hot going round opening all the windows etc....

LB - glad you had a good day yesterday - even if you saw a bit more of the countryside than planned. It’s a pretty part of the world though! Such a shame about the dead squirrels - they’re beautiful little creatures. We saw a lot of black ones in Germany - haven’t seen them here.

Has anybody checked whether they’ve bought a ring for Saturday? Maybe you’d best slip a brass curtain ring in your bag just in case!

Rubee - always nice to find a new plant supplier🙂

Joyce - good to hear that something is happening re the land slip. Hope it’s not too disruptive for you.

Chap coming to do the m/home lights and fit a different radio this morning. Think me and my germs will be banned from the van. Also waiting for delivery of a new Dyson power pack this morning. Cordless vac working fine day we left for hols but dead as a Dodo the day we got back. Fortunately still under 2yr warranty so a freebie replacement part.

Good luck with flu jabs / feet defizzing etc etc See you all later.

Morning M-U. Good to see you. Make sure you've got a little stool and send Mo Mo in first!

Good morning to all you busy, early morning risers.

Lants, one of my brothers had to take two doors off to get a new suite into the house.
Hope you don't have any problems with deliveries.

M-U, the tester cake wont last long.  While I was getting a birthday card out of my stash yesterday I did look to see how many C.....s cards I had left from last year.

LB,  have you thought about taking a packed lunch on Saturday just in case?

No notification from GP surgery yet about flu jabs.  It's usually October when I get mine.

T'bird, a duvet day on the sofa is advisable for you until you feel better.

Ten Heucheras potted up and all patio pots treated with vine weevil killer.  Front door pots still to be done.

Pansy, did you get an apology this morning?

I'm sitting with a cuppa now Rubee debating whether to clear up all the fallen leaves from the patio but somehow I think they'll wait for another day.
