I have great sympathy for the delivery drivers and, when expecting a delivery, I try to meet them at the front door or even at the roadside to minimise their waiting time.
I thought the Greenhouse People might have been amused by the ‘conversation’ I had with DPD so sent a copy of the transcript to them. The blandness of their response suggested I was feeding strawberries to dogs. Oh well.
Obelixx, I totally agree with you about Hermès scarves. I don’t like them either.

We have customers who write in the section " delivery instructions" stuff like:
" at the end of an unmarked lane" so put a sign up!!! " very faded sign" so paint it " sat nav doesn't get you here" so tell us how to.
I once called a customer 3 times before she answered the phone " i didn't know the number so I didn't answer" ( or listen to my messages either) then she couldn't actually give me direction for the last mile of my journey. How does she manage to find her own way home when she goes out????
There needs to be a delivery blacklist for people like that. Like Tripadvisor for delivery drivers but not written by liars and morons like TA seems to be. If no one can find your house then maybe click and collect is the service for you.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
I just dropped my plant sprayer and the nozzle broke. According to the Hozelock website it's obsolete and they only stock one part for the sprayer now and it isn't the part I broke. They don't even list a service kit for it anymore. I wonder how they're going to expect people to pay a premium for their products if they don't keep up the support after a certain number of years? I bet there's thousands of these in landfill with intact nozzles too

A few years ago my wife phoned a company to complain about non delivery of a dress she had ordered. They checked and said it had been left in our "safe place". The "safe place" is our porch and we couldn't have missed it if it was there, there was nothing. My wife continued to do battle with the company to get the item delivered. A few nights later I went out our back door and spotted something on the ground inside our 7 foot high solid timber side gates. I went to investigate, and it was the dress. This was in the middle of winter and the garment was ruined as it only had a light plastic cover which was ripped (probably from the delivery guy trying to get it over the gates). It must have been there, in the pouring rain for over a week before we spotted it.
@Obelixx - round-the-houses problem resolved this afternoon. I rang the customer helpline, who told me we didn't need to register for the MyGov ID account. I told her I couldn't book an appointment online, as I was supposed to do, for the Public Services Card without first registering with MyGov. She went away, came back and said "Just ring the local office and make an appointment and you'll get your PSC without all the hassle." You've got to love the Irish...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
At least it got dealt with @Liriodendron @KT53- I've had similar. There was the parcel left under the back of the car, outside the back gate. Why couldn't he get in the back gate? Because it was locked. Because I was in...and he didn't come to the front door first. Sigh. I've had them chuck stuff over the back gate too- because, again, they didn't come to the front door first. Hope you got reimbursed - or a replacement.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

You just couldn't make this stuff up.
Got it @wild edges. See if this site has a part that will fit - https://www.faithfulltools.com/c/Sprayers
