Don't want to worry you @wild edges- but that is Curry's.Ā
When they screw you around [which they will] use Resolver to sort it. There's a shed load of complaints about them, and their so called 'customer service'

Well it turned up at a reasonable hour and the delivery blokes were friendly and helpful. I had an old water filter on the wall where the freezer was going and one of them even gave me £20 for it which saves me the hassle of trying to sell it online. Let's just hope it works now and I don't have to deal with customer services. :/

Good stuff @wild edges. I hope it all works well. You've done better than a lot of folk by making some money out of them!

    DPD .... Grrrr.

A parcel was due to be delivered this morning. I had an email to say it had arrived, but it hadn’t. The photo showed it stashed under a white table next to a water butt and quite clearly not in my front porch, the designated safe place.

I used the chat button to query this. Here’s a transcript of the conversation.

Hi, how can I help you with your The Greenhouse People parcel today?

That’s not my house. Before I visit my neighbours asking if they have my parcel, are you able to contact the driver asking him where he left it?

Your parcel is waiting for you in your safe place, it was left today at 09:46.

It might be safe but it is someone else’s house. Does that photo look like a front porch to you?

Sorry, you can't send a message to the driver right now.

Well what are you going to do then?

If allowed by the sender, your driver will normally try your neighbours if you are not home.

I was at home. Your driver did not call. Nor did he leave it in the front porch.

Your parcel is waiting for you in your safe place, it was left today at 09:46.

That’s not my safe place. Your go.

I'm sorry, your sender doesn't allow us to do that for this parcel.

What doesn’t the sender allow you to do? Deliver to the correct address?

Your parcel has been delivered to XX Main Street LExx

No. That is my address. The parcel has gone somewhere else. Is it on holiday?

Your parcel is waiting for you in your safe place, it was left today at 09:46.

This is like a pantomime. Oh no it isn’t.

I'm sorry I don't understand that. Could you re-phrase your question or choose one of the options below please?

The parcel is not at my house. Artificial intelligence only works when there is intelligence as well as artificial.

All available redelivery options allowed by the sender, can be found on the tracking page. No need to call our contact centre as we've empowered you to do what they would normally do for you.

I gave up. I went round to my neighbours. The parcel was there.

Artificial intelligence, artificial flowers, artificial grass. Perhaps a new definition of the word artificial is needed

Oooh please carry on with your conversation with the Artificial Intelligence ... you might be able to confuse it so much it disappears up its own fundament .... šŸ¤” does Artificial Intelligence have a fundament?

I remember the time way back when a lot of mealtime conversation at our farmhouse dining table was about AI .... but back then it meant Artificial Insemination .... and that is still the first thing that comes to my mind when someone on the radio says AI.Ā

This phone thinks I want to say Artificial Insinuation ...Ā

I had to laugh at some of that @BenCotto, but I know exactly how it is with these plonkers. Find a wall and apply head repeatedly...
DPD are usually ok here, it's Hermes and Yodel that are dreadful. I ordered something a while ago, then cancelled at the payment point, because it was Hermes they used. I contacted them and told them theĀ  reason I wouldn't order the item.Ā
Hermes and Yodel drivers regularly don't come to the front door, as instructed, before trying to leave in the safe place.Ā  :/
