I remember reading a long list, probably on Facebook, of "Why pets are better than children".  I can't remember any of the reasons except the last one:  "If they get pregnant, you can sell the babies."

I spent an hour or so in the doctor's waiting room today. A couple brought in this small ginger goblin that I can only assume they found under a bridge somewhere. It seemed pretty feral anyway. I hope they weren't planning to raise it as human but they'd dressed it up in child's clothes. It's made me feel better about my situation though. I'll take a bit of sleep deprivation over running a goblin rescue centre any day.  :#
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

I think you're slowly losing the plot @wild edges :D
I met a really nice couple up on Morrone in Braemar a few weeks ago. We had a right good chat and set the world to rights about various topics.
I can't repeat the story the woman told me about the feral children near her. It was hilarious though  ;)
There's a saying in Scotland about ugly babies. They're known as having 'a face like a jiner's nailbag'.

    Good move B3.

My grump then is that, despite having started as a movement in France, there is no U3A hereabouts.

No.  Already president of a club that doeas anything and evrything with a needle and thread, belong to a garden club where I also follow the mosaic class, plus weekly dances, monthly patch machine classes and involved with cooking in English for the catering section of a secondary school in La Roche thru the local Franco-Brit club.  Hoping to start Spanish classes in October.

Then there's the house and garden and my own sewing and sowing..........
