Quoth the raven "that meme is ornithologically inaccurate".

Speaking of ornithology we've just roasted up a chicken to fight the vegetarian hunger pangs, and Wales won the rugby so both me and the Asda p*sshead are pleased.

I'm annoyed because I dashed out as soon as it stopped raining and started to mix up some compost and grit ready to plant some Iris 'Harmony' in pots. Got half way through and yes, it started raining again. Covered it over, came indoors and logged on here. Guess what, it's stopped raining and now the sun is shining. You can bet your bottom dollar that if I get all togged up to go outside again, it will rain before I get up to the potting table!

I'm convinced the weather up here is sentient. Every time I go to put paper in the recycling there always seems to be a random gust of wind trying to scatter it all.

I loved the 2attempted murder". I'm just too thick to realise which of the corvidae family they are.

I believe they are jackawys @Hostafan1 which would make them a train or a clattering of jackdaws.

@philippa smith2 the local weather gods veru quickly sussed out my trick ofleaving all the cushions out on the chairs on the terrace.   Hasn't workked for months now.

In my garden the collective term for jackdaws is an Asbo.

They don't look like jackdaws. I can't decide if they're carrion craws or not though. I think it's the light on the pic Rooks have paler beaks and 'hairy' thighs. tittering please.
Ravens are quite different. Beautiful things.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I tend to do the same @Hostafan1, apart from the jackies. I'm quite fond of them really. They always have a cheeky look about them, and after watching the gymnastics of a pair who were nesting in a small hole in the soffit of the gable end of a house nearby, I quite admire them  :D
We don't get them in the garden - just magpies. These other households must be chucking out the rubbish for them to eat  ;)

They're 100% ravens. A bit of Google detective work shows the picture was taken at the Tower of London using their captive birds.
