He is a beauty. Such a shame he doesn't eat weevils.

I'm very nearly tempted to go out on a weevil hunt when it gets dark - or not, perhaps, we've got quite a lot of steps round here and I'd only do myself a mischief!

My weevil hunts are more like bug safaris now. There's so much life to see after dark. I found a busy ants nest tonight working away in the dark. I didn't think we had ants so they might be a new colony this year. Just a short hunt tonight but I still found 6 weevils.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Must be getting on top of them now @wild edges - literally  ;)
I'm not too curmudgeonly today, but I was yesterday as I was hoping to get on with some planting, and I had some unexpected visitors. Then it rained anyway, so I felt less annoyed  :D
No chance of getting anything done today in the wind and rain, which means I may have to do the indoor jobs which need doing. Curmudgeonly again  :/

It’s fine here @Fairygirl ... you could pop down and do some watering and deadheading for me ... I have to go out  😉

It’s downhill all the way @Fairygirl ... just grab a tin tray 😉

I'm feeling curmudgeonly with myself. I thought pimpernels were pretty little things and encouraged them now they're everywhere, seeds all over the shop. But they look good with the yellow oxalis which is rampant too. A tiny plus but not enough😕
