Speaking of which: After another night of interupted sleep I did my zombie walk to the bird feeder this morning and must have trodden in a cat turd on the lawn. I only found out at lunchtime when I put my shoes back on to go out to the greenhouse. :|  I dragged the door mat outside away from roaming toddlers and let my shoes out there too to be dealt with after lunch only for a surprise sharp shower to strike when I wasn't paying attention. Tempted to throw away my sodden pooey shoes rather than having to clean and dry them now. They were (for want of a better expression) on their last legs anyway.

's sake @wild edges. I was going to say ' that's anit sh*t ' but thought the better of it.
    Err..too late... :(
It's beyond infuriating though. I think I'd be binning that lot.
At least you have the hawkmoths though. Clouds and silver linings an' all that jazz.

I'm also grumpy because after digging up a bed of potatoes yesterday I found my 10 year old treated sleepers have all had it. They were an expensive way of making raised beds and I expected them to last a bit longer than that. This sleeper was above soil level too so it's not like it was kept constantly damp. I expect the cold winters had a hand in speeding their demise by breaking them apart with the frosts.

    Curmudgeon of the day🏆@hexagon😀
    Better out than in!

I stay away from supermarkets at the weekend. Morons wandering about aimlessly with no idea of supermarket etiquette
    In London. Keen but lazy.

Supermarkets for me, in general @Hexagon ;)
    That's a bit of scunner @wild edges :/

The stupid man along the road nearly drove into my car earlier. We have a rear lane access, and I'm at the end. He obviously cut the corner coming off the road into the lane, and there was another wee wumman coming out. I've seen so many people do  it. He swerved and hit the bit at the back of my garden. It's mainly large rocks and bits of shrubbery, so hopefully it's taken the a**e off his car.
The irony is - it's a Smart car ...unlike the driver :D

Oh - I always forget about that @Hexagon. It's so out of date, still having that ruling, when we really live in a 24 hour society. You could probably have ordered it online yesterday, and  had it today!
My nephew lives in Cambridgeshire, and I think he still finds it difficult.  :/

It's worse in England Fairygirl because the shops close at 4pm due that ridiculous rule. 24 hour shops aren't actually 24/7 shops like in Scotland. Why say you're 24 hours when you're not actually!?
We can't upset the christians who think we should all be in church.

and they still hand out free plastic bags like it's 2011.

A recycling question: Does anyone know when paper becomes card or vice versa? I'm never sure how stiff paper can be before it has to go in the other bin and then sometimes I'm breaking down corregated cardboard and it rips so I'm left with what is basically a sheet of paper. Then I wonder if corregated card is just layered up paper why does that get treated differently to a magazine? The Welsh recycling rate is very good so I'm sure they're not just pouring it all into the waste-to-energy plants with everything else but I have my suspicions...
