Those r*ddy weevils have travelled up here. I've got two heucherellas, which are in wall containers, both with eaten roots. They were fineĀ  a couple of days agoĀ  >:)
Potted them up so fingers crossed.

    Weevil killers ordered too....
They flee from my wrath. Another 10 robustly chastised this evening. I'm finding them everywhere now though so the place must be crawling with them. I even found one trying to open the door to the greenhouse.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Make that 11. I found another while pegging out the washing just now.

@fidgetbones I work in a pharmacy in all day today and doctors only open until 10,30 wonder how many emergency tablets we will have to give out?Ā
A man can in yesterday morning for Femodon? Didn’t know what it’s for or who is using it. Asked him is it a cream? A tablet? A liquid? Didn’t have a clue. Got really cross as ā€œ I don’t have time for this I have to go to work just find the femodon. My wife wants someā€ Ā
He finally phoned his wife he wanted Phenergan.Ā
We had 4 boxes in the dispensary but I told him we had none. I don’t appreciate being called an idiot!Ā

Conversely I went into the local pharmacy recently to get a prescription for the baby. I was told they didn't have it in stock and to come back in two days. When I went back the postman had just arrived with a parcel of photographs that the staff were very keen to look at so I was left waiting at the counter while they all ooed and ahed over the photos in the back room. Eventually the pharmacist came out, looked at the empty counter and asked if I had been served. He rolled his eyes when I said no and gave a pointed scowl to the back room. He found my stuff then got very irritated that it hadn't been kept in stock in the first place. I suspect he is having staffing issues :#

People can be so rude @debs64 :/
Would have helped if the b*gger had been accurate, but it serves him right that you told him 'computer says no'Ā  :D
@wild edges - that makes me angry about those staff. My youngest can't get a job just now, and yet you see people all the time behaving so inadequately.Ā  :(
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Was on a bus for over an hour during yesterday evening's rush hour, a journey which usually takes 15m even with heavy traffic.  Roadworks required temporary traffic lights as only one lane was available for traffic from both directions.  Problem was this 'contraflow' was just 20 yards from a main crossroad junction and they hadn't sync'd the temporary lights with the junction lights, so only 2-3 cars could get through every 3-4 mnutes with those following being trapped in the 'contraflow' bit, preventing traffic from the other direction from coming through.  They couldn't have possibly designed it in a worse way.😔

@debs64 , I feel your pain.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  His wife probably wanted it to keep the kids quiet.Ā  Men should never be sent shopping without a written note. It always goes wrong.Ā  At least he didn't shout "it will be all your fault if she dies".Ā

Last time I visited the doctor to have prescription updated Ā he said ā€˜you won’t thank me if you have a stroke’, Ā  Ā I said I didn’t suppose I would and walked out, now I’m buying all my medication privately, have I mentioned before I have no time for the NHS. Ā No wonder with their attitude to patients .Ā

I'm not sure self diagnosis and medication is going to be helpful .

I now avoid our local pharmacist like the plague because staff in there are so rude.Ā  My next door neighbour worked there part time and she went to work in another pharmacist because of their attitude.Ā
I was in the queue one day waiting to pick up a prescription and they were serving an elderly gentleman who had come in to pick up his wife's prescription.Ā  Assistant said she couldn't find it, but he was insistent that he had brought it in the previous day.Ā  Assistant 'looked' again, she was gone and back in about 30 seconds - raised her voice at him saying "It's not there".Ā  The pharmacist came out to see what the fuss was about, and she did explain to the gent that he had actually brought the prescription in 2 days previous and had collected it the previous day.Ā  He was simply confused over the days and apologised.Ā  He was still walking back to the door when the assistant said, loud enough for everybody in the shop to hear "Bloody old fool, shouldn't be let out on his own".Ā  The pharmacist didn't say a word, and the assistant continued to work there.
