    Ooh - that's true @Dovefromabove.
My last 'luge style' downhill trip didn't work out too well though....  :D

B####y biting flies, my legs are itching all over. This is the worst time of the year here for me getting bitten, what with the harvest mites that get you in unmentionable places right up until the end of October.  :*

I've never heard it called that!
Aloe vera or witch hazel gel will stop it itching . Works best if you haven't scratched

OH is giving me funny looks because I'm trying not to scratch myself in these unmentionable places!

Have removed my squirrel proof seed feeder for now.  Pigeons have been whacking it to knock the seeds out and then gobbling them up off the ground😡 I think I'll hang it on the washing line when the clothes drying season has finished otherwise,i haven't a clue what to do. I think the pigeons were attracted by the elderberries and spotted the nearby feeder

Can you tether it to the ground, or to something nearby, to keep it steady?

That's an idea so long as it won't stop the anti squirrel mechanism from working.  I'll have to play with it and see if I can come up with a cunning plan.

Well I've had a think. Fixing it to the ground won't work but if i hung it from the washing line and fixed the tube bit to the pole that supports the middle of the line, that would stop it swinging but the mechanism could still go up and down and it would be beyond squirrel leaning distance.
The only trouble might be bird **** on the washing.

Don't your squirrels navigate the washing line though?
Maybe they'll learn to do do this...

You'll just have to hang the washing out at night when the birds have all retired..... ;)
