Hi Rebecca, I put my heating on for an hour this morning when I got up. It was decidedly chilly.

I have just had my hair cut really short.

I went next door earlier to see the landslip and OMG, about three feet from the house wall, half the garden has gone down the embankment.  Poor souls have only been in the house just over a year.

That is alarming Joyce .I do hope that it can be fixed and quickly .Chive and Hazel ,I have only once coloured my hair and I didn’t like it . I am now happy with my white hair .

PF, not quite a crew cut and it was intentional.  Dries in a few minutes after washing as I don't use a drier.

Afternoon all - been busy all day with office this morning then cleaning the 3 logstores of moss and algae before they go back against the freshly painted garage wall. OH is just finishing pressure washing them now.

Joyce - oh my goodness - these latest developments must be so worrying for both you and your neighbours. Just trying to remember the layout of the houses on your road - are they the neighbours to the right as you look at your bungalow from the road?

I assume there is some emergency shoring up going on? Do you both back on to the embankment running down to the river? I seem to remember lots of trees behind your garden. Hopefully they will be doing their bit to stabilise the land directly behind you.

Thoughts and best wishes are with you at this horrible time. x

    Afternoon everyone.
LB did I read that you turned up heating this morning. Well I don't have problems like that. It's the hottest day this year here. In some part of Croatia is slightly over 40 degrees.

Joyce sorry to hear that. You must be very worry.

Forecast says no more so hot days anymore.

@Topbird, yes that's the house.  There is a large flat area bordering the river path behind the fence in my bottom sunken garden; a bit of a drop down from the patio and then embankment at the back of the house where the large holly bushes grow.

Chive, I hope to have a second garden bin filled this week, weather permitting.

Ante, over 40 degrees is too much for me. I hope you get lower temperatures for the rest of the summer.  When is your trip to Greece?

Evening all. Yes Ante, I had the heating on just for an hour. I was cold. It just took the chill off the amosphere.
    T'Bird - good work there.

It's like in furnace outside but now is better because sun set.

Joyce on the end I don't go this year to Greece. Our librarian complain that she don't go anywhere so I gave my place to her. But I go next year because my children are going so I must be there.
What's the english word for teacher who is responsible for one class. I can't remember this word, it's not headmaster.
Options for next year are Spain, Greece and France. Children and parents will vote and I must go where they decide.

Hazel I look very similar to puddle. 🥵

Ante - we call teachers responsible for one class Form Teachers or in some schools Form Tutors.
