We used to go foraging for field mushrooms with my dad when we were small - very early on a Sunday in the autumn. Stopped off at the bakers on the way home (yes - open for an hour or two Sunday morning) to pick up fresh, still warm crusty rolls and wolfed the lot down with really crispy bacon for breakfast. Delicious - have not had such tasty breakfasts since those days.
It was only years later that I realised that my dad didn't really know that much about mushrooms and was sort of guessing what was ok to eat based on survival skills learned in the marines.....
Pam - glad you had a good break but sorry to hear about your SIL. A cruel disease indeed.
Harrump 🤨 - no rain yet... On the plus side though - the buddleia nearest the house is absolutely smothered in cabbage white and peacock flutterbyes👍

That will be like the tea strainer (rarely used) that for many years lived (don't know) in the drawer with oversized utensils like the potato ricer and stick blender.
Yesterday one of the cyclists asked if I had Earl Grey tea 🤨. Well, actually, yes - unopened - but loose leaf. Needed the tea strainer. Had been 'tidied' to a more appropriate place - took me 15 mins to find it...
Have just noticed that OH's cycling shoes are outside propped up against one of the garden chairs. It's been weeing down for nearly an hour now... oops🤭

Joyce - respect to you. A good job done. I'm sure that the 'finding' of stuff won't be too onerous. I tell you what I do - for obscure items such as refill packs for my sticky note holder - I write all items and their locations down on a sticky note and fix it to the side of the fridge. I double insure with a magnet. Then all I have to do is remember to look at the list!
T'Bird - you need to stuff them with newspapers once you've emptied out the water.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
For the last three days I have been looking for the arm covers for my suite . I put them away when I put a cheap set of covers on the suite when the cats were kittens . The arm covers are the same fabric as the suite . The very last place to look is the loft . Will do that later on this week ,I am exhausted and a tiny bit frustrated 😠☹️.

I'll pass that message on to the owner of the shoes LB😁 If you think I'm getting soaked going out to retrieve a smelly old pair of sweaty cycling shoes.... That's why they were left out there yesterday - because they get a 'bit damp' when he's cycling. A wash in the rain will do them a power of good.

Ruby, don't try going into the loft when you are tired. There are things up there just waiting to bang you on the head or trip you up if you aren't careful.

I will be careful LB . I will only need to stick my head through the hatch . All the stuff we store up there is within reach without going into the loft .
