Morning🙂 - oops it's afternoon already - coolish overcast day here. May do a SM run this afternoon.

We've had a chap round this morning to look at a few improvements we want to make to the motorhome. He was great. Makes such a difference when you get somebody who clearly knows what they're talking about, doesn't try to bullsh*t you, doesn't patronise you and, above all, doesn't spend the whole time sucking his teeth and shaking his head - oh! and he can write a decent email - good grammar and no spelling errors. Ticks all the boxes for us so he'll be fitting a decent radio and putting some extra light switches in. At the moment the lights are either off or it's like Blackpool illuminations.

Chive - sounds like you had an excellent day. Can thoroughly recommend the Van Gogh gallery and going for a Rijsttafel for your next visit.

Joyce - hope the roof is holding up.

LB - hope you don't get too soggy...

Perfect day for being outside. Dry, warm and sunny with a slight breeze.

Hope the weather in Southport was kind to LB and that her pink shopping trolley has some goodies in it.

Lants - yes we found this chap sort of by word of mouth - from another highly rated company in the Midlands that we were prepared to travel to. They recommended him and, as he's both a mobile fitter (comes to us) and only lives about 6 miles away, it's a winner, winner, chicken dinner😁

Motorhome electrics is a very specialised field (12v, 240v, leisure batteries, engine batteries, inverters, solar panels etc etc - all have to work together) and it's a recipe for disaster if you get the wrong person mucking about with it.

Hope LB has had a good day. It's turned into quite a pleasant afternoon here but I think tomorrow may be a little wilder.

Well it’s turned out to be a lovely day here.  It was trial and error for me learning how to wallpaper. Put my hands through so many sheets of wallpaper when trying to hang them until I realised cheap wallpaper is a complete waste of money .TBird hope your motor home is sorted now . Good that you have had some nice weather Joyce . Pansy I am sure your visitor appreciated the scones and toms .

Evening! Been a bit dramatic here...

Tuesday evening there's about 8 police officers in the porch.

Weirdo neighbour (WN for short) and my neighbour (MN) had gotten into it again.

WN shoved more plants off the stairs, and MN decided to be entirely rational and PUT HIS FIST THROUGH WN'S WINDOW, massively cutting himself on the glass. Idiot. Well, what I said was a bit stronger in language.

Police spend a few hours here, ask me what I saw/heard - well, nothing till you got here.

Eventually about 9PM it all calms down....

Until 4AM when MN returns from hospital. Without his keys. And leans on the bell til I get up and let him in.

    All has been quiet.

Except now they're screaming at each other AGAIN and I'm sick of it. ARGH!

I'm fine Rubee, just very annoyed with both of them. I'm avoiding the whole thing...

Very sensible . It’s not your problem .

Hope the police sort it out Chey so that you and Luco can return to peace and quiet.

Pansy, will that be you giving the pep talk next week.....?
Hope you don't end up like a pincushion tomorrow.

RB, is a celebration being organised for GD's 21st?

Evening all. Just having a major catch up now. Chive what an absolutely stunning set of pictures. I love that little house - are you sure it isn't one of M-U's that has snuckered in there Harry Potter style?
Joyce I hope that the buckets are doing their job in the eaves and you haven't any more headaches to deal with.
T'Bird, sounds like you've found a good 'un there. I did quite like the sound of Blackpool illuminations though
Chey! What a shocker. Yes, you keep well away from it all but I assume the landlord has been made aware of the broken window?
Runners - hope that your GD has a happy day.
Well I have had a FABULOUS day at the flower show. The rain and wind disappeared as I drove to my Bestie's. Her daughter drove us to Southport and we joined a queue of people waiting to get in. It was all very well organised and we made our way around, admiring rare breeds and tasting everything in sight. I'll post pictures later. The weather was wonderful after such an inauspicious start so I think we did very well indeed. There were loads of wonderful craft marquees with everything from gorgeous photography, jewellery, clothing, craft baking, cheeses, spices and pickles and the various alcohols. All of these had to be investigated before we went to the plant section. I did have to buy a few plants. Liatris (white and pink) and Tricyrtis Dark Beauty. I'm a little bit tired now
