PF - you stole my line. Folding sheets (along with i*****g them) is unheard of in my house.

Oooh - sorry LB, Pansy and Col TT but I just love fresh, clean, crisply ironed, proper high thread count, cotton sheets. Don't even mind ironing them so long as OH is home to give me a hand with the first fold. Do them slightly damp so there's lots of steam and the smell of fresh ironing through the house and the creases are lovely and sharp.

My desert island luxury... Blast away Col TT...

    Good morning everyone.
I'm sorry I've been AWOL for a while and apologies to Pansy, didn't see your email.
    Hope all are well.
I've just come back from a week in Hereford. My brother booked a lovely converted barn and there 12 of us as well as my two dogs. It was in a really pretty village ,Earlisland and was surrounded by acres of blackcurrant fields and fields of Miscanthus that they sold to power stations. We  were allowed to walk the dogs  round the blackcurrant fields and pick some berries.
I think my brother booked it as a last together while my SIL still knows us as she sadly has dementia but we all had a great time.

@Hazel-1  I was in the CS too - for quite a few years (DSS). Then local government for a few more. Paperwork and admin is in my blood. Strange feeling of satisfaction when things are properly organised and filed away.

Tidy desk, tidy mind. Unfortunately neither is true at the moment - but it will be before the week is out.

T'Bird - no Col TT as you weren't actually in the process of 'doing'. Lucky escape!
Pottie, that sounds like the sort of family holiday I go on every February but I'm so sorry to hear about your SIL. Dementia in any of its forms is a cruel disease.
Love the sound of your being near to blackcurrant fields. I hope that you got all your Vit C sorted.

    Morning all.
Rain earlier so garden plans are on hold.  Lots to be done inside.

I fold sheets and duvet covers as I'm taking them off the clothes line.

Super veg harvest Ante.  Any cauliflowers  to spare as they are in short supply here due to weather conditions?

Pottiepam, glad you enjoyed the get together. My daughter did that for my birthday last year and it was great.

PF - impressive! My airing cupboard went out when the combi boiler went in. It is now the home of my craft stuff - mainly wools and my C*******s tree and some decs.
Yep, mushie has got pinky brown gills. I might make a mushroom stroganoff for lunch.

I do not crumple them up in ball. They get put (crammed) in a storage box under the bed until they are needed the next week. when I pull the fitted sheet onto the mattress, hey presto, any wrinkles disappear.
PF - I think I'll be quite safe

Before attempting to eat the mushroom i would need an expert to assure me that it wasn’t toxic . Don’t eat LB .
