It’s been a busy day ... doctors, shopping, lazy lunch out with OH etc, plus remembering to use this ECG monitor four times a day ... plus a lot of lounging and reading ... I shall read back then snuggle under the duvet ... sweet dreams all ... 😓

The garden Club in Enfield has it's annual sale on. We went to see if we could find a replacement for our wisteria that has died. The ones there were all large & already trained over various structures, & even at sale prices too expensive. We came away with 2 blue hydrangeas, an Echinacea, some cyclamen, & some violas- oops!

    Good morning allĀ  :) ā˜•ļøĀ
its a glorious morning and temperatures are rising out there. Some plants looked a bit sad in the warmth yesterday and an rushed session with the hosepipes took place mid afternoon ... think I’d better plan things better today and get an earlier watering session in.Ā
Have a lovely day all šŸ˜ŽĀ

Morning @AuntyRach. Thought you might be lying in a drunken heap under a table somewhere.... ;)
    Have a good dayĀ  :)
Morning anyone else who's here/afties Pat if you're around
Awake through the night with the wind [outdoor] and had to come and sleep in the lounge at the front insteadĀ  :/
Belated congrats @Obelixx - 36 years is good going. Hope you had time for some cake.
    Little fairylet is 22 today ... :o
    Chocolate cake has been made.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Ooh missed that @Obelixx šŸ„‚Ā

Lots of opportunities for cake šŸŽ‚ while I’ve been busy Ā ... I might have to make one for the weekend ... šŸ‘©ā€šŸ³Ā

Finger’s crossed forĀ @WonkyWomble today ... her cars in for repairs today ... her brother is taking her to work, her husband will collect her ... and then they’ll have to navigate the hordes of Ed Sheeran fans descending on Ipswich for the weekend ... son will be busy sound engineering at a festival and at the Ed Sheeran thing cos his friends band won the competition to be the support act ... it’s suddenly all systems go down in Suffolk šŸŽ¶ šŸ˜…Ā

I might well join you this afternoon @punkdoc ... and there’s some Adnams Ghostship in the fridge šŸ»Ā

Ive just been down to the Boots in Wrose for my prescription and bought some other bits and pieces to ensure we don’t starve over the bank holiday weekend, including two of the biggest and juiciest pork chops I’ve seen in a good while šŸ½. I bought a couple of sweet potatoes to roast with them ... that’s Monday’s supper sorted. I bought some Barnsley chops for Sunday Ā from the market yesterday (trying out a new butcher ā€˜cos mine’s retired ā˜¹ļø ).Ā

Now id better pick the runner beans ... think I’ll have to freeze a few bags but not sure where I’ll find space in the freezer ... OH will have to eat some cakes ... šŸ˜‰Ā

I have some Barnsley chops in the freezer @Dovefromabove.Ā  Ā Get the from a butcher in a farmers' market who cuts them nice and thick so th fat cooks but the meat stays pink.Ā  Ā Yum.Ā  Definitely a treat tho cos pricey.

Yesterday was a bust for Bonzo.Ā  The vet's surgery called just as we were closing th egates to leave.Ā  Emergency op came in so he couldn't admit Bonzo.Ā  Now postponed to Sept 2nd.Ā  Ā We went out for pizza instead tho I had a savoury galette.Ā  Pizza is only really good in Italy IMHO.

I'm in cuttings mode - varegated buddleia today with deep, purple flowers.Ā  Ā All dead-headed and full of butterflies again.Ā  Ā We have bright hot sun so perfect for a bit of spraying to clear where my new shrub beds will go - if only the breeze would die down.

Grazing our way round a local producers' market this evening and hoping to get good addressesĀ  for future sourcing and then the nocturnal market at La Tranche.Ā  Ā Should be buzzing as it's the last night before Paris and the rest of France head home tomorrow.
